  • Good morning, off to walk the hounds shortly.

    Week ahead:

Gift of a full body massage booked
Out with girlfriends for drinks - we have a kitty which still has funds so NS evening
    Church event

Looks good to me, out three nights and all FoC :)

Dinner this evening is just a roast dinner, using meat/gravy from the freezer.

    I'd better crack on.

I've tried posting three times and each one has failed :(

Mechoui chicken with flatbreads and salad for dinner. Adapting a JO recipe.

Great night out yesterday and looking forward to a quiet night this evening.

Early dog walk as con calls start at 7am today :(

Mr T starts work sooner than anticipated and life will change very quickly. We are off to buy him new work shirts at the weekend. Likely to try on in the store then order online via £co or TCB.

Not sure when payday is for Mr T and SO looking forward to the first one. We've managed well on one salary and will continue with the same approach. I do need to add to a few savings pots but will revamp the budget spreadsheet next week. I had considered reducing the number but it does help my brain having it so black and white.

Tuesday beckons and won't be long and it will be the weekend :):):)

Congratulations to Mr T on his new role. You seem to have taken such a difficult situation in your stride - this is testament to how far you have come on your MF journey.

    Thanks so much.

We have a very strong family unit and I am grateful for that every day. I don't mean this to sound like an Oscar speech but I truly am thankful every day.

To have changed the way we live, to such an extent, that we could manage on one salary when we used to live on overdrafts is fantastic. Nothing is wasted and without exception we are happier as a result.

I appreciate the support from this site, the fact that people will lend a hand to pick someone up when needed. That we share ideas and ways to help each other.

Thank you to everyone who reads and posts. It really pushes us forward.

    Best wishes Tilly x

Evening, massage was fantastic. I've sat hunched over my laptop for days and really enjoyed being pulled back into shape.

We have treated ourselves to dinner out to celebrate Mr T. He's back to work next week and life takes a new twist :). We have an entertainment budget of £100 per month. That's plenty given I tend to get FOC cinema tickets once a month, out with friends 2/3 times which is dinner at a house, a night out for the two of us and we're done.

I was reading Mr Es diary tonight about the I and E in Myers Briggs tests. I'm an E, not a surprise and Mr T is an I, again not a surprise. However, whilst I'm noisy and more 'out there' he is the one who quietly directs the decisions. It's interesting to watch. An outsider would see the noise of me but not the substance which is him. I think we work really well together. I will put up with stuff to keep the peace, he won't. He has a low tolerance level and once it's breached, that's it.

It's interesting that couples complement each other - put me with another E and we'd be worn out, put Mr T with another I and they'd live in a cave.

Anyway, I'm tired, I've eaten too much and fortunately I don't have any early calls :T:eek::T

    Night, Tilly x
