  • Good morning, I feel like I'm hibernating at the moment. Financial year ends in two weeks and I can't wait :T

No pennies anywhere :( so no TTs to perform. I do wonder whether I will go back to capital OPs once Mr T is working, or whether to keep building the offset savings. It's quite a good feeling to see them increasing - slow progress on one salary. Having our lodger is helping as the income is going straight into MOS. However, the longer Mr T is not working, the more likely I may need to dip into it. It's a real yo-yo of emotions at the moment. He is keeping really busy and active but it must be hard for him.

Dinner last night was pork and spinach lasagne - I'm eating salads at the moment as am doing my utmost to lose a stone. Tonight we are switching the menu plan round, so it may end up being a vegetarian chilli.

I'm hoping the weather is good over the weekend, as I want to get the hedge lopped in the back garden and put it through the shredder. Dogs need a good walk and we have volunteering to do, so hopefully we can be out in the fresh air.

I'm not sure where October is going - it will be time to menu plan and update the inventories in a week

    Best wishes Tilly x

I can totally understand where you're coming from, Tilly - hopefully Mr T will have something soon and then you can return to your previous level of progress. But at least we're all in a position that we can manage in the meantime xx

Well done on the lodger Tilly it's just taken me all day to read the whole of Froggys thread to see the connection.

I am working my way through understanding your spreadsheets you sent me. Not very techie but I will get there.

    Thank you

  • Morning, I'm not sure where last night went. I finished work early and given its been a horrible week at work, I went to lie down for an hour  I woke up at 9.45pm :o. Helpful for the diet as I went back to sleep :)

It was obviously required though as I've woken up this morning feeling more lively. I've had a number of deliverables this week, as we approach the end of the financial year, and I'll be happy to see November. Even better, then it's even closer to :xmassmile

I've just checked the weather forecast and it's fairly mild for the next two weeks, so who knows, the heating may stay off. However, it's rain over the weekend, so no clue whether we will get to do the hedge. Mr T said an afternoon of working in the garden would be good for us.

Dinner this evening is beef flank casserole with veggies, roast peppers and potatoes.

£co monies arrived and Tilly Tidied to MOS. Paydqy on Monday and then we start all over again. I want to find time to menu plan this weekend, which will mean updating the freezer and larder inventory - that way I can have the shopping list ready to use for the following Saturday.

    Have a good day and it's a Friday :D:D

  • Evening, end of the week :T:T

Lovely dinner, all hands on deck in the kitchen afterwards and now having a Strictly It Takes Too catch up :)

I was told this week I'm having an off cycle bonus as a thank you for the effort - pleased it was recognised as I'm knackered :)

All extra monies being moved to MOS which is good to see. My review is due next month and looks like it will be a good one and my salary increase is related to my performance and achievements - hopefully that will be :D

No other news, apart from Froggy is going to give me some French cookery lessons this weekend. I love cooking and always keen to learn - so a few :T required.

Hopefully the rain keeps off so that we can cut the hedge.

    Night, Tilly x

  • Good morning

Running late this morning as we had a lie in :)

I need to jump in the shower, grab my shopping list, oops, I missed out get dressed :o

It did rain in the night but seems reasonable now - maybe able to tackle the hedge after all.

I'm making an ox cheek casserole today in the slow cooker. I've been trying to buy OS cheeks for about two months as there's been a recipe in the Wa!trose magazine I fancy cooking. Mmmmmmm

    Better get running

    No pennies anywhere
