Hi, as we approach the end of our financial year, I feel as though the wheel I am on is spinning extra fast
Two more weeks and things will start to improve, I hope.
Lovely news about Froggy and we'll be celebrating this evening.
Just need to sort Mr T and Mr G and we can return to normality.
No exercise today of any description but all my calls for this evening have been cancelled. So dinner, catch up with an MFW chum and then TGBBO :T
No more money updates.

Hi ATT, ooh a bit of bread and dripping :T
Not really a slap up meal as he surprised me when I came off some calls late afternoon - what terrific news.
We will be celebrating on Friday or Saturday I think. He bought a bottle of something white and fizzy which is in the fridge.
I think it's 71 sleeps or so to go :j

I will be glad when our financial year is over
. Two weeks to go. So far this week if something could go wrong it has and it is extremely frustrating.
Anyway, Wednesday tomorrow and although an early start not as early as some and we are out tomorrow night.
No pennies to tidy away - I'll have to start hoping Froggy keeps loose change in his pockets and I can raid the back of the sofa :rotfl:

Morning, still no pennies
Pork and spinach lasagne for dinner this evening
Mr T is turning into a domestic goddess at the moment - maybe it's to keep warm.
Under a week to payday and I feel extremely proud of the changes we have made. I have never really bought much junk food but now its down to none. Having two kids, we've baked together since they were young and both will make something if they fancy a snack. Both of them could manage now if they had to cook for themselves and DS has another 4 years to extend his repertoire. I think it's vital that kids learn to cook meals with real food and understand what they're doing. I'd better get off my soap box now and get cracking.
Have a good day, Tilly x2004 £387k 29 years - MF March 2033:eek:

I think it's important that children can cook too Tilly.
My girls are very young (eldest is 3), but she can tell me what ingredients we need for a sponge mix. She loves to cook, help prepare - even if its something she doesn't like. My youngest is also keen - she helps a little from the highchair and demolishes any ingredients so she has her own bowl for now!!MFW.....Apr 33 Aim - Dec 260 -
I have a colleague who has two children (15 and 18). The eldest can cook 'a pot noodle' and the youngest has *never* cooked. This lack of culinary skills is tied into complete dependency (fostered by loving mama) and the kids are now so needy/lazy that they make her buy milk during her hour commute home from work (although they have a shop at the end of their street).
It seems to be tied up with lots of misguided guilt, controlling love and a refusal to accept that they might grow up.
All kids should learn to cook at least 1-2 simple meals. There is nothing less attractive in adult life than someone who can't fend for themselves on a day-to-day basis :eek:1 -
Hi Mr E, sadly I think this is fairly common, maybe not to that extent, but approaching it. I listen to the guys at work talking about their kids and basic things are missing in the kids education.
I must admit I think kids need a 'kit bag' of basic meals which can be turned into a variety of dishes. As a parent, I really do see this as a key part of helping your children develop and grow.
