I still have some grains of rice in my car from when I last went. At Christmas.

Sad to say that a local church has opened another food bank and we have a collection point at work to collect food donations. Whatever you may think of the politics, there are families who have to make difficult choices every day about paying the important bills or feeding the kids.
Like you, I would urge anyone who can afford it, to support the food banks.0 -
They are a fab service Tilly- thanks for the reminder!!
Though I donate fairly regularly I haven't for a month or so so may have a rummage through the cupboards!0 -
Hi Tilly, I know you are very green fingered
don't suppose you have any suggestions for what I think is aphids on strawberrys? We had tonnes if strawberrys growing, but they are all pretty ruined
there are small green bugs on the underside of the leaves

Hey Tilly,
We went to T£scos today for some bits and bobs and our food bank people were there handing out shopping lists for things they need - such a genius idea, i ended up filling a shopping bag just for them! :j
So glad to be able to help, we've not seen food bank places anywhere before! Sad really cos its a really great thing to do.

Hi Frugal, check out the sites above. You've been really unlucky it sounds like the infestation is too far gone to save this years crop but it will help you for next.

It really is very sad that food banks are needed in this day and age but I think they will be growing for the foreseeable future.
