Tilly I've heard we have to expect a fuel increase as well ... It's getting to the crippling stage now for us

I remember when I first met mr el, we would go for a wee drive in the country and down to his mums caravan at weekends ... Now my car is work and shopping with one trip to his mums per week ... And as soon as the new asda opens in our village it will just be work and visiting the inlaws ... Between that gas and electricity and food we are feeling the pinch more and more

  • Morning, 99p a/c tidy OP.

Exercise is continuing quietly. I'm doing level 1 stomach exercises from an app I downloaded. Kettle bell swings and weights on the go this week.

I am so looking forward to the spring and light mornings. It seems to have been dark for months and I think I almost go into hibernation mode.

Anyway, dinner is made ready for tonight and Mt T and I have the delights of the garage freezer to face. I'm half tempted to defrost it and clean it as well, at least it's done then. Never let it be said that Mr T and I don't know how to have a good time :rotfl:

The house feels extremely empty without a lodger :o

  • Morning El, cost of fuel is atrocious, I'm not sure how everyone will cope with another increase. We've certainly changed our routines and do as much in one journey as possible.

FD doesn't show a difference like NW does for example on cleared vs non cleared funds.

In case it is of use in the future...with first direct the way to see your available balance as opposed to just balance -

From the home screen of current account click on 'make payment' it should then show your balance and also available balance.

I use this all the time to check my actual balance.

I know you prob don't need that for the tilly tidies as any further change in balance just enables another tidy...but thought it might be of interest for the future!!
    2019 Totals: Savings: £929.53 / Mortgage OP - £746.32

Grocery challange April: £130.17of £500 target remaining

I remember intelligent finance... That's where my whol savings pots/jars references come from.

Thankfully with NW I can change the names, just aswell or I would lose track....

    I have:
    Christmas
    Birthdays
    Car stuff
    House ins
    Lula treats
    DH treats
    Kids treats/pocket money
    Haircuts
    Ent/activities
    Eating out
    Fuel
    Holiday
    Emergency saves
    Isa

The children each have their own savings accounts too.

    Erm, I think that's it.

I then also have 2 current accounts, one of which has an amount transferre each month for food and other bits. The main one is where we get paid and all ddm's/ transfers come out of.

I have one spreadsheet with several pages; one for each current account and then the CC.

Can't believe I'm sharing all of this nerdy stuff!!

    My pots are:
    Christmas
    Birthdays
    Car ins
    Car repairs
    House ins
    Lunch etc (treats)
    Dentist/Optician/osteopath
    Holidays
    Diesel
    House/garden (small paint type stuff)
    At least 1 I can't remember :o
    To be added: bulk purchases
All in one savings account with spreadsheet to control. Same account also has own btl savings, so more columns and subtotals on spreadsheet :T.

All these have their own spreadsheet:
Current Ac 1 - own, main account
Current Ac 2 - Halifax shuffle
Current Ac 3 - FD, opened for reg saver last week, need to open reg saver now
Current Ac 4 - main btl account
Current Ac 5 - sub btl account as too lazy to swap dd's :o.

    ISA & Reg Sav 1 & Reg Sav 2 - same bank so share a spreadsheet :p.
Soon to be Reg Sav 3 (& 4 if I can get Mr GG to cooperate :D)

    Mortgage spreadsheets:
    Mortgages 1&2
    Mortgage 3
    Savings
Overall Net with standard payments only
    Overall Net with projections
    Mr GG debt
Brick House to be filled in each 1k
    Plus a few others :o.

I don't know anyone apart from on here who has more than 1 current account :o. And only DD and DS who have money spreadsheets :T.

Quoted Natty, but Tilly has already added my comment :rotfl:

Exercise is continuing quietly. I'm doing level 1 stomach exercises from an app I downloaded. Kettle bell swings and weights on the go this week.

What app was that? I have started a sit up circuit this week that I got from a gym about 5 years ago. My ab strength is terrible so once I strengthen through my circuit I will be looking for something else to keep them going.

Fuel is atrocious now. I can't believe that I'm thinking it "cheap" at 1.32! We changed cars recently, largely for that reason. I now creep around, refusing to let fuel economy go under 55mpg!

Passion for Profession.net is the company. I searched in apps for free exercise ones and this popped up :)
