  • Radish, all I can say is thank goodness for garages - we are the proud owners of drum roll

    320 loo rolls. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    That will teach me not to order after having a drink :rotfl:

  • 320 loo rolls - oh my!

    Am extremely jealous as we are a family of 5 (with a 7 year old who I swear uses about 1/4 of roll each time :mad:) that frequently runs out of loo roll. I would sleep easy at night with 320 in the garage. May follow your example!

    I'd be terrified of having that many toilet rolls - what if there's a loo fire? :D

    Can I ask is it the puppy loo roll ? The cheapest I could find it was something lik 46p a roll... I tend to try and pay no more than 35p a roll ( yes that is how sad my life is ... I work out cost per roll) ok it isn't the puppy one it tends to be more " cushioned"

    Hi Elantan, it's Velv&t and worked out at 39p per roll - goodness am I really the same woman who used to spend hundreds on shoes :eek:

    LauraJo, my garage now has parson height stack of packs (of packs) and fortunately there's still room to move around :)

    Next thing on my list is washing machine liquid. I know many of you make washing machine gloop but I've never tried. Not sure I am brave enough but if anyone does this who reads my diary, can you let me know how easy it is, how long does it store and do I need fabric conditioner as well? I have my eye on a 5kg drum of washing powder and conditioner at the moment - that won't be anywhere near as big :rotfl:

    Mr E, I will pray that we don't have any loo fires - my garage does resemble a shop though - well a loo roll shop if nothing else.

    I'm guessing for your next house party we can use the loo roll to decorate all the trees in your road

    Are you going to ration them out so they last two years :)

  • Hi Radish, Mr T and the kids have been laughing at poor Tilly today :). I wonder how long that many loo rolls actual does last? DS gets through so many, I'm surprised we haven't blocked the drains :rotfl:

  • Mr T kindly paid the remaining loose change into the bank today so that's now been OPd - £5.83.

    Tillyups/Tillytidy (thankyou Natty and GG :rotfl: has been a big help in the last few months. When we are on blinking long journeys, they can get a little boring without something to do brighten up the days when there are no funds to OP.

    I am sorry to say I've added the columns for TcB, £co, S&S, PC etc to the spending diary, as well as vouchers. I'll be OPing those from January. I have had a go at doing this the last couple of months but need to see the benefit of it and need to be consistent. What's another column in a spreadsheet :rotfl:

    Changing the subject, my freezer is SO full - I will be glad to get to the point where I can defrost and clean it.

    Mr T and I are starting bread making in a more serious way. We aim to make enough rolls and small loaves to service the kids school lunches each week - far less salt, no preservatives and the kids love it. Mr T has dabbled with bread making but given a home made loaf is around 40/50p vs £1.20 that will help to pay back the loo roll capital investment :rotfl:
