This diary is proving just how generous and kind spirited the posters of MFW board are:T I have a local food bank just a short drive away, and will ask my work colleagues tomorrow if anyone else would be like to make a donation.
Tilly - there should be 'one of you' in every town/city/village:)February13 - £74990 (or thereabouts)

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Evening everyone, what a fab day :xmastree:
We went to a carol concert in a wood, then came back and had a fab slow cooked beef casserole (flank from Costc@, glorious flavour) used up some red wine, parsnips, carrots and onions. I threw some sultanas in as well mmmmmmmm.
Glad to see the food bank has created some discussion. It's been an eye opener for me. The economic situation has been dire for so long and its impact has ripped some families apart. I still need to take the clothes/toys to the women's refuge contact via church. The stuff is all packed up and ready to go. To have the courage to leave and start a new life takes some doing.
All watching Sports of the Year - what a fantastic 2012
Have a good week, 5 working days to go :T
and 9 sleeps to go :xmassign:

The demand for Food Banks is ever increasing. In my line of work they are relied upon by so many of our service users, as without them they wouldn't be able to feed their children and themselves. Because of the recession and Welfare Reform changes we will find that more and more people are going to be needing to use Food Banks, so their demand is going to rise even more.1
