Hi Ed, we were cross posting just :rotfl:
All our decs go up on the first Sunday in Advent. We get all the decorations together in the afternoon, then start about 2pm ish. That way, by the time we have finished (takes a couple of hours), its dark and we turn the lights on :xmastree:
I love these little traditions. We also watch White Christmas on Christmas Eve, cracking open the Advocat and chocs - I love it :T

Tilly glad things looking up your end and thinking of you and yours at this difficult time it must be with rellies illhurray for home cooked instant meals eh? Thats exactly my plan this weekend to make all the frozen meat in the freezer into meals which can then be taken out the night before ... I find I have much less energy in the winter so anything making life easier is good!
Love xmas traditions and yours sound lovely - mrtyo usually puts our tree up overnight (I think in desperation of hearing me bang on about how excited I am about xmas for several months beforehand! :rotfl: )
have a good weekend x
ps incase I didnt mention your 68K total is FANTASTIC - am gonna have to read back from the start to figure out how you did it! We hope to manage 20K between us this year .... .just a little way off! :rotfl:1 -
Morning TYO, I am going to check the freezer and larder today and menu plan for November.
We are all pleased with the way the mortgage is dropping. Just not wasting our salaries any more. GG is sitting on my shoulder reminding me not to regret our past spending and for most of it, none of us do. Lovely travels, many memories and we enjoyed doing loads of stuff with the kids. Now it's time before they flee the nest to prepare ourselves for the next chapter
Almost finished a mountain of ironing and then it's back downstairs to the freezer.

Have taken the dogs for a lovely long walk this morning. Trees are glorious shades and surprisingly mild. It gives me great pleasure to watch them racing off the lead at full pelt.
Mr T is vacuuming round the house, he's just made me a cup of tea with an instruction to stop ironing and have a break. Back to work now.

Ironing finished. Looking for motivation to go and sort the freezer out. DS is selling poppies, DD is working, Mr T has almost finished vacuuming and I am sat down doing nothing. Not good
My desire to cook has disappeared at the moment and I find that quite difficult. I understand why, there's a lot going on at the moment, but cooking is how I relax and without it, my mind is racing. I am going to dig up my slow cooker book and find a recipe for tomorrow.
May ask Mr T to make a cake for later
Best wishes Tilly x2004 £387k 29 years - MF March 2033:eek:
