Shouldn't you have asked for a company minivan then you would have room for all the Tesco bargains you'll be grabbing on your way home. No doubt you already know how many Tesco you can fit between work & home ;)

I do! :rotfl:3 big Extras!

And I'm sure a normal car will just do... ;) Especially if they will load it with fuel :D
  • An elderly man had owned a large farm for years.
He had a large lake at the back with lots of fruit trees.
The lake was ideal for swimming, although he rarely did
    that anymore.

One lovely sunny day he decided to go down to the lake
as he hadn't been there for a while, and look it over. He
took a bucket with him to bring back some fruit. As he
neared the lake, he heard voices shouting and laughing with
glee. As he came closer he saw it was six young women
skinny-dipping, he made them aware of his presence and
they all went to a deep part.

One of the women shouted ! ! to him, "We're not coming out
    until you leave!"

The old man frowned, "I didn't come down here to watch
you ladies swim naked or to make you get out of the pond
    naked."

Holding the bucket up he said, "I'm here to feed the alligator."

Moral: Old men can still think fast.

I am so annoyed the Roses lime marmalade is now in "normal" jars not the ornate jars of my childhood, how very dare they change there design :p

Yes that brings back memories:)My first proper "career job" was working in the labs of Cadbury Schweppes on the Edgeware Road NW something. I had a bedsit in Hendon and used to often live on whatever was being sold cheap in the factory shop. Rose Lime marmalade in the old jars, curly wurlys, Cadburys mishapes, Frys Turkish delight. All at dirt cheap prices as they were old stock or ood/damaged packaging/ end of line. A really unhealthy diet but many years on I still seem to be doing the same thing at Tesco!

SA apolgisied for the wait. Then exclaimed to the bloke in front of me that she had just spent 40 mins with the previous customer
Bloke in front wanted his mouse replacing but didn't have a receipt. SA said no:rotfl:
Bloke in front demanded to see the manager:eek:
SA caved in. Guess she had had enough for the day.
She was relieved when all I wanted was a couple of price checks:T

I was up north with my dd yesterday as she had an interview. So oh and i went to macclesfield store and i came across a load of people grabbing boxes on the sale aisle. I asked what the bargain was and was told just see at the till. So i got 2 which were Tesco Power Tool set with Tool Bag. Set was electric drill, electric jigsaw and electric sander with a tool bag. went through at 1.25 each. So i paid and gave them to oh in coffee shop and went back around. I went to same aisle and there were more on the shelf with an sel of 1.25. So i picked up 4 and went to till again. Lady scanned 1st one and it came up as 5.99 so I stupidly said on no they are 1.25. So a young assictant came over and said you cant buy these as they have been withdrawn. I said how can that be as they are on the shelf at 1.25. She fed me some story about head office noticing what price they were going through at and they had withdrawn them. They then called tbe duty manager who happened to be a young male assistant who had been stood right by thd shelf when I picked them up and he confirmed they were 1.25. So then the head of that section came over and said they had been withdrawn for technical reasons.
Anyway they refused to sell them to me but as one had been scanned I insisted on having that one even though it was 5.99.
I was really annoyed as it was pretty obvious the staff were annoyed that they did not get any so they decided to withdraw them. I am going to write an email to head office later.
So then onto wilmslow Handford extra where I got 6 1p leaf trays, 3 lots of 92p kitchen roll and some lovely cheap towels. Paid with a dtd voucher for 20 so a nice cheap shop. We loaded the car and thdn dd called and said could we give another girl a lift back to Bristol so we were like sardines as I only have a Nissan Micra.
    However a successfull day.

I had a phone call from Tesco CS today and the young man on the phone said they should have actually sold them to me at the £1.25 price. He said it was bad customer relations to snatch back items from customer's baskets and refusing to sell them. I said it was not so much the fact I did not get them but more the way the 2 women treated me so badly and completely over ruled the young male duty manager. He apologised and is sending me a £10.00 gift card.
  • I think my neighbours washing machine may be knackered. :( I wish he would quit persevering with it as it's driving me loopy. :(

Might have to go to T's to get away from it.
