Glad you got back safely Happy.
Well done Karlie on the big WOW factor. Hangs head in shame as I have not done an order yet. Am i too late? Perhaps DD2 would appreciate a delivery, I notice someone else has sent one to their DS or DD at uni. Might be a good idea as some of the bargains she was sent off with are probably running low. I know she has eaten all the Paxo I gave her. Has been having paxo and roast potatoes and veg with no meat for some meals!
Used an old 1p find for tea tonight, whoopsied sprouts, bacon bits and jar 1p finest chestnuts with whoopsied sausages in a toad in the hole. Went really well together, my DH is such a good cook. I would never be able to use all the things I find cheap in Ts, adzuki beans come to mind but he does a great job. :T
I am determined to be in bed by midnight tonight. So night all.0 -

It is a manor house?granny type cake with suet and sultanas, all in one recipe.
Its his birthday at the wekend and he would love me to bake one of these.

Please press the thanks button when someone has helped!0 -
thanks glogh1973 but unfortunately that is an american site and they think manor house cake is a sort of victoria sponge with butter cream filling, oh would have a really bad turn with that as he's diabetic.
My DH is diabetic, type 1. I avoid any glitches or bargains that could tempt him as he has a sweet tooth and happily raids the kitchen at midnight every nightAvatar courtesey of HC :beer:0 -
Tesco Gel Hand Warmers - were selling for £1.75 have just gone up to £5. £6 profit on the 4 I bought after DTD.
These are with the camping gear and are the reusable type with a clicking disk inside to activate and then you boil them to recharge them.
Ideal for the winter weather and stay warm for hours.
Well worth checking SELs to see if they have been changed, they had in one store, which is why I noticed the price cos I bought some a few weeks ago, but other store they had not changed the sel, so £1.50 profit per pack of 2 warmers.0 -

Hi celebrate, its not that simple either, but sometimes we do what is best for us if you know what I mean.
I nearly spoke to you the other night as I have been in some very similar (or perhaps not) situations and nobody can advise, but in the end you have to be strong and when all around me were telling me what to do I did what I wanted and stayed put and played councillor to my silly broken man.
We seem to have worked it out but we have been together for a million years and why would I chop my leg off, thats what it felt like, even though it was a rotten leg at the time, lol.
Keep strong, I'm thinking of you (and have been for a while), get to bed now and sweet dreams. nite nite.0 -
