    I read that too:(

I'm sitting here and can smell some Jo malone perfume on my hand that I sprayed in Selfridges today, thinking if I didnt smoke for just one week I could buy a bottle without feeling guilty.

Right that's it I'm not buying anymore ciggies, but not telling my lot here because it's too much pressure if they know, I'll just nag at my "buddies"on here;) I've got 20 left and when their gone, their gone!!!!!
Woe betide a T's trout that gets in my way in the next few months though.

good for you hun that is exactly what i done, no big anouncement, just done it, i amazed myself and totally amazed my family because i loved to smoke terrible but true, i always have an addiction to something, just now its this thread and tesco's, and do you know we are going to cuba for 2 weeks all inclusive in 10 days all because i gave up smoking! feel better too xxxxxx
however with the weight loss and stopping smoking my mouth has become quite redundant lol - although my friends and family would not agree!lol/

    Ah ok, thanks.

In reality you should get full refund anyway as the CS person will scan your item and it will give them the price. They usually refund what the wand says it costs. You are entitled to what you paid for it anyway. DTD is in ADDITION to your statutory rights.

Let us know how you get on with that :rotfl:

I got a big DTD and the SA made a point of saying I wasn't entitled to a refund as the DTD was more than the item cost. I know we have statutory rights but you forget Ts have their own rules & regulations and are above the law. Others have fought and managed to get refunds on DTDs but it's not been easy.

The item might well scan at the high price but you'd be lucky to get a refund without a receipt hence a golden receipt is priceless - literally.

never heard of it...sounds intreauging though..... anything to do with Ts? - i just Googled it and it just came up with allsorts of rubbish. x

a golden receipt is one you got a DTD but CS forgot to sign or write on the recipt so you can if you wish take the item back for a full refund after (preferably to another store!)

I seem to be on a posting mission tomight - sorry folks... But just thought id give my quick tip regarding 'golden Receipts'

If you have used your clubcard for the purchase... Then the store where you got it from can bring up a copy of the receipt.... if you ask them to print it off for you ( just make up an excuse, say you need it for Tax Purposes or some other goboldygoop like that ) then they are usually quite willing to do it for you.

Then Voila - you have another 'clean' receipt. :) - Only ever done this once when i wanted to return a Surround sound system, where i had genuinely lost the receipt and wanted to return it to a more local store from the one i purchased it from... had to go back to the original store to get the receipt, but sure that you could then go to an alternate store with the receipt printout and get the full amount back. x

HennyPenny - Yeah defo meet up, FrenchKnickers has been on about doing this too, not quite sure where abouts we all are, but if we meet up at a 'good' store and set up a little action plan of which stores we are gonna do, then im sure we could find some good stuff!!- Kiddy doesnt sound that promising really... not sure where is good to go really - but am willing to travel - within reason, as would prob have OH and DS1 in tow.... :)

been thinking about xmas for the last couple of days regarding Ts and wondering if anyone knows.....how do they do the price changes over xmas day, ready for sales starting boxing day (i'm presuming their sale starts then!)....i kow they can update the prices on the system ready to go live on boxing day...but what about the SELs?

reason I'm asking is that I've noticed loads of offers which expire on 25/12....so am thinking of going early boxing day (before we go visiting relatives)...to get as many DTDs as possible!!! All the half price toys, and loads of the phones are all due to expire on xmas day! According to that 'very little helps' Ts staff website,it seems that night staff will be finishing early Xmas eve....and its closed xmas day....somy thinking is, if they're slow on updating SELs anyway, boxing day should be great as it willbe busy, possibly with limited staff....and loads of leftover OOD SELs ;)

anyone been Ts on boxing day before and know how efficient their staff are? :)

looking forward to getting lots of bargains to sort next xmas and birthdays as cheap as poss!!! :)
hoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!
