So tonight I decided to go to T's as was a bit fidgety from the nicotine withdrawal. Gets to T's and start to circle the clothes dept discreetly looking for 4p items. Out of the corner of my eye I see someone else looking a bit shifty and obviously doing the same thing. It seems that she is also circling the clothes dept;) Mutter to my mum "I think their may be another friend of Martins about" The "friend" then edges towards the S/S with scarves in her trolley , halloween loo roll and a few other giveaways;) So I stand behind her and as she turns say "You have to be MSE" and we both laugh and she says "I think I know who you are" Long and the short of it. Tonight I met QPRANGER:T:T:T:T:T:T:T

Nikki, was it your effect on her that she's now changed her name? Nicotine withdrawal has given you special powers!

Oh wow I totally need some of these scarves!! My mum is scarf mad and I would win best daughter of the year award at Xmas if I found loads. The mission is on today! Had a good look in scun last night and there were none so I'm going to get the kids breakfast and maybe venture out d0nny an edenthorp3 ways I think! Hope they have some. I could do with winning best daughter award once in my life and I'm
Sure my mum could do with it too lol!

Had a dream I was scanning 4p scarves and got reputed at ss. They took them off me and I paid for my other items and the till kicked out £50 change. Even after dream trouting I was dream honest and handed it in to cs. I was then dream karma'd as they let me take my 4p scarves and said they weren't watching.

No more cheese for me tonight then!

    Morning all :D

W*tf*rd has a scanner by the toys luckily. My problem is I am short on time as my DD is in Nursery School so I only have a couple of hours a day to get everything done. She does afternoons and it is really busy at my local Ts then so I end up waiting about 30 minutes just to pay.

On the plus side I now know there are a couple of other MSEers that can share the deals at that store so if I don't get them they will. What is useful is knowing what to look for as it does cut down the search time. OK I'm waffling now, too much wine me thinks. N e how it is posts like yours that have given me a good starting point. I had no idea about dtd before joining this web site and although I've still not had one to date I do know there have been times in the past when I should have been given it but, in my ignorance, I settled for just a refund for the overpayment :(.

I am aware I have not yet said this, but a big thank you to you and all the other people who have posted on this thread.

Yesterday, they had the Bakugan things stickered half price, 342 knive sets and the 34p puff pastry. HTH

I'm on tax credits already but the problem stems from my job. Without sounding bigheaded, I earn too much to get tax credits normally (I've been on maternity most of this year so my P60 is a lot less than usual) therefore I have to pay childcare myself. I'd have to reduce my hours by more than half to get tax credits but that causes a new problem because from April 2012 you have to work 24 hours/week to get benefits so that would put me back above the threshold for WTC & CTC and therefore help with childcare.

    Rock ......... meet hard place.

Caz, i've heard of the new April 2012 benefit rule that you have to work 24 hours a week, but just check that this applies to you as i thought that only applied if your children were over 7 years old?
have you been onto entitledto.com ? xx

Has anybody had any luck with the scanners in Gr*msb* or cl**th*rp*s store today or yesterday as they have always worked brilliantly for me and today they just says ''please contact a member of staff for assistance'' so annoying!!!

Although i did get a couple of the £2 teapots for family members and the chicken scanned at £4 so got free chicken.

    hth

Not been over there but one in scun did that a few months ago and it's never worked since! Such a pain.
I have noticed in cle3 it's always such a mess by the scanner where people just dump things. Maybe they've "broken" it
