No Graham.
By allowing immigration, they are fixing the issue.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

'Racists!' 'Xenophobes!'
Dave Spart is alive and well.0 -

Only in your freak mind, could allowing free immigration into an overpopulated (for its resources) country, be classed as fixing a problem.
We know your stance on this. It's going to put pressure on house prices, therefore it's good. It doesn't go any deeper than that, so lets not pretend it does!0 -
..
BTW the problem with housing is caused mostly by NIMBY's Though stupid government policy of not giving new housing estates proper transport links, schools etc doesn't help.
Possibly. As I said earlier it's mostly Londoners and people in the South who have this problem.
You can build as many Wimpy Boxes as you want in the South for all I care. Lots of green spaces still down there, have a look on google earth.0 -

Don't bother try reasoning Graham. Hamish is a one trick pony and we know his motivation.0 -
Dave Spart.
OK, I'll bite.
What on earth makes you think that extending a free market approach to the labour market is a left wing ideology?
By advocating protectionism in the labour market you have become the very left wing union absurdity that Dave Spart epitomised.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

You can be as faux Randian as you like, but the nonsense you write about the joys of immigration is as much the product of cultural Marxism as anthing PE sends-up with comrade Spart. Just because you were only duped by half the package doesn't make you any brighter.
But it doesn't matter. Once someone starts hurling the 'Racist!' insult like some foam-flecked polytechnic lecture, grown-ups switch off.0 -

I have a vested interest in advocating policies that prevent the inverting of the demographic pyramid in the UK.
As does every sane person in the land.
For the avoidance of doubt this means we cannot as a nation, or an economy, afford for there to be 3 retired people for every worker. Versus the current state of 3 workers for every retired person.
Oh, so what you are saying is that we've have to import people to keep this Ponzi scheme going? What happens when we run out of immigrants? Oh yes, it crashes like every other Ponzi pyramid scheme.HAMISH_MCTAVISH wrote: »
Such a result would lead to catastrophic consequences, and would be the inevitable result of a stable or falling population.
So only increasing population is good? When does it stop being good in England? 100 million, 200 million?HAMISH_MCTAVISH wrote: »

Ah, perhaps we would be better off reading the Morning Star or SWP or any other xenophobic fascist paper?HAMISH_MCTAVISH wrote: »
And that, above all else, is why politicians will lie to the morons who believe immigration is bad, and will continue lying to them all the way through 70 million, and perhaps even 80 million.
Quite.:eek::eek:
So, let's just keep upping the population, because it's great to concrete over the countryside and the economy is doing so well at the moment that we can afford to pay for all the infrastructure.0 -

Not half as fast as people switch off when racists start hurling the "Marxist" insult.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

There you go, you can't help yourself can you? You describe people as racist and then get surprised when they call you a Marxist.
You graduated from the Frankfurt School and here are your founding principles.
1. The creation of racism offences.
2. Continual change to create confusion
3. The teaching of sex and homosexuality to children
4. The undermining of schools’ and teachers’ authority
5. Huge immigration to destroy identity.
6. The promotion of excessive drinking
7. Emptying of churches
8. An unreliable legal system with bias against victims of crime
9. Dependency on the state or state benefits
10. Control and dumbing down of media
11. Encouraging the breakdown of the family0
