Nice post bonnington..I do like a bit of an invoking of OFAH..ah those were the days!!
Loving the story about the gammon and OOD pineapple Mrs PG! That is magic. Still chuckling over it!
Yes we are planning to go away over the Bank Hol weekend. Probably wild camping/ roughing it in a very basic campsite in Norfolk. Thats the tentative plan anyways!MFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

Don't they say, 'what they don't know won't hurt them'? :rotfl: I wouldn't be worried about serving OOD tinned fruit. I think the only time I'd be bothered was if the tin had a dent in it.
Some interesting stories emerging of people's cooking mishaps. When we first arrived in NZ we stayed in a motel and unless the timer was activated the oven wouldn't work. I wasted many a half hour waiting for the oven to warm up before realizing the cleaners had turned the switches off at the wall. :rotfl:Diary: Conquering Debts Once and For All

Well the Pinot Household are all alive and kicking after consuming the Secret Ingredient in last nights dinner ! We will await to see if they develop any weird symptoms throughout the day, or if Mr Pinot starts putting the hob on instead of the deep fat fryer a la Mr Happy, as the contaminated pineapple juice enters his system !!:rotfl:
I have decided today that I am very fed up with the lack of exciting post dropping through the doormat and the Postie is no longer my new best friend. On that note, I need to up the anti and get some more letters written . I did finally take the NatWest letter to the Post Office yesterday and I am still waiting a response from Lloyds (Yawn) and virgin MBNA, but thats not enough for me I'm afraid . I decided to check Mr Pinots credit report today ( theres not point checking mine, it just says "dont touch that woman with a barge pole for at least the next 6 years !) Mr Pinots confirmed that MBNA 2 have defaulted as suspected, but I think for the hell of it I will get him to give them a call just out of interest and see what sort of settlement figure they have in mind.Santander shows that we are behind in big red letters so I am pretty sure they will follow suit shortly.
So ......... jobs for today other than working :-
Send a Solicitors Letter to a Client who owes us money and are partly to blame for this mess. They are still trading and owe us from 2010 , if they dont play ball I will look at the Small Claims Court as I think we have been patient enough with them.
Last night I put some childrens books up for sale on Green Metropolis that DD2 had sorted for me, so hopefully a few of those will sell.
Arrange collection of clothes sack from CAsh for Clothes thats cluttering up the Spare Room and finally do some ebaying !
Call the bank as a £24 bank charge has appeared this morning , sending us into an unauthorised overdraft of -£20.17. I have no idea what thats for, so we need to jump up and down a bit about that.
Check that one of our clients have paid us an overdue invoice as I need to pay the Council Tax before they send us another Court Summons. That will be this year paid up, ready for April and an increase !
Thats a small list to be going on with, theres lots more to do, but that will keep me busy for now !
Hope everyone has a lovely day today xLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

The more basic the campsite the better for us. I hate the ones with entertainment, clubhouses etc, its my worst nightmare. Each to their own though. We have camped in Norfolk a few times bit we like sites that allow campfires and they are few and far between in Norfolk unfortunately xLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

The other week was mouldy bread. Today tinned fruit 7 years out of date. :rotfl:
What will be next? I can't imagine there being too much wrong with fruit in a tin.
I knw what you mean about wanting to clear the debt sooner. Unfortunately due to not thinking about the interest to go on a loan my debt increased. I had taken the loan amount and reduced it by payments made and forgot about the interest I had to add to the load.
As Del would say - You plonker Rodney. Hopefully I've learnt my lesson and will check carefully in future.
Glad things are looking up for you.
Take care.
My poor family bonnington, I dont know what they must think of me at the moment ! I will scour the cupboards later and see what delicacies I can serve up this evening. Its what I call "rubbish dinner night" tonight anyway as we all get home very late on a Thursday, so it could be a real treat !!
Yes I read on your diary about the loan. Its easy done though, infact I think I may have done something similar myself, but I dont think I could cope if I looked into it and had to update my figures any higher, so I am currently in denial , its quite a nice place to be , and very sunny !!:rotfl:LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

So we rang the Client and said "Wheres all the money you owe us from 2010 ? You keep promising, we have been very kind and patient so when are we going to get it ?" Their response, Hmm, Aargh, well that Company isnt trading anymore ( our invoices werent made out to that Company but to the other Company, the one that is still trading, but we will keep that gem of info hidden up our sleeve for a little longer ) More Hmmmm's and then a " I need to get ******** to call you back and speak to you about this ". Pretty much what we expected really. So the solciitors letter is drafted and just waiting for us to give the nod.
MBNA - " No, we might have said in , our letter that we are open to discussions on coming to an arangement to clear your debt, but we cant give you a figure, you must give us a figure and then we will think about it. " We dont want to give a figure as we cant actually offer them a Full & Final yet,we were just being nosey, so that was the end of that !!
The Postie - Is so not my new best friend anymore. He arrived with one letter, from our Mortgage provider telling us that as of 1st May our Mortgage will increase. Now its not like I didnt expect that to happen, but I dont really want reminding . Whats really annoyed me is that they wont tell us until about 14 days before what it is actually going up to. Doesnt give you much time to come up with an action plan does it ?! I suspect it will be about another £80. Damn people, we have only just started paying the mortgage properly again and they go and put the damn thing up .
Payment - We have been paid, unfortunately it was only enough to put the tax and vat into a separate account, pay the council tax and put some fuel into Mr Pinots car so that he could get to work this morning. The rest of this months outstanding invoices , we have been assured will be here by Tuesday, so that will get us back on track.
Thats my update for now. Off to stick some washing on the line and then crack on with work !LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !
