You know how I feel. If you are warm and there is food on the table thats a good place to start. But the security from a few pounds is amazing. Im so pleased.

Hope the heating is fettled soon, thats a flaming Liberty!

Also, motley crue indeed, is there a tenpole tudor soundtrack and 80s hair and drinking wine out of the bottle? Or should I come back next week?

I dont know what i would do without my peoples either. I am so grateful I have them. :) xx

There is definitely 80s hair Skint, I will dig out my Motely Crue T Shirt and you can drink whatever you like from a bottle. This week though it will be a Bring a Bottle Party, Im afraid !

I love all of my "people" , I would be a dribbling wreck in the corner by now if it wasn't for all of you

    Hi Mrs PG

Thanks for your PM. Hugs still stand. I hugged a colleague today, who is having love-life heartache (I firmly believe in the benefits of hugging).

Thinking about your car tax, it makes more sense to tax it for 12 months from August, as you have said that things are historically tough in December/January/February anyway, so the more annual bills you can move out of those months, the better.

Offer the predators £1 token payments for at least 6 months (or even 12 months), and if you have any extra put it aside - not only for March when this contract ends, but for next winters "slough of despond".

Raise your prices to the people who have just offered you work where you are there "go to" contractors. Don't be embarrassed, your work is obviously quality, and you go the extra mile.

    Satchmo x

Oh me too Satchmo, hugs make the world go round in my books.

You are absolutely right about the car tax, August for 12 months is the idea. We put the money away each month for it but if I remember rightly something happened last August, cant remember what and I ended up using the Tax money and therefore could only cover it for the 6 months. You are right it is Dec, Jan and Feb that are historically quiet, although we think we have a nice job lined up for next Jan and Feb ( fingers crossed) .

Prices are always tough, too high and people wont use us, too low and you work for nothing and people think you are rubbish as you are cheap. We are somewhere in the middle. We are actually earning less on a daily basis than we were when we started 14 years ago, that the way it is in the business sadly. It has had a big effect on us , but we are still working, many arent.

I know you are all right re the predators and token payments. I am finding this one very hard to get my head around. Not seeing the figures falling will probably freak me out. I need to see that happening to keep myself somewhere close to sane. I am also very wary of drawing attention to ourselves as they have been so quiet. There are a million other reasons, but you are right, I know you are. You to Mrs B !

I have just spent lords know how long trying to answer everyone individually but its taking ages and I am running out of time. Please dont think I am rude I am grateful for all your messages and suggestions and will obviously take note of them all ! My head is so full of suggestions it is swimming but thats a good thing, far better than the empty head with no ideas how to get through this time. Thankyou again. you will get sick of me saying thank you I know, but it has to be said !

Piq , I will Pm you later about the letters.

So onwards and upwards, the car is taxed for the six months, I dont have the disc yet so I have an out of date disc for today but hey ho.

Work is still crazy, I had to turn away work yesterday as clashes with other work going on, I think I need about four Mr PG's or I need to disguise myself as him and go and to the technical work myself ! We were asked about the possibility of us starting another contract with another client, but they wanted us to start today which we cant obviously. I have told them end of MArch and if they have noone else and the requirement is still there we will go back and see how the land lies.

I havent checked the bank yet this morning as I had an 8am meeting at the school re the girls. Science department this time. We are int he mood to kick @r$e this week, so I am afraid everyone is getting in and we are taking no nonsense. Thats what the stress does to me, I either turn into a dribbling pathetic wreck, or I am Mrs Angry . The end of last week was Mrs Angry as the Dance Teacher found out, beginning of the the complete mess and now I am Mrs Angry again.

I will wrap DD's presents later, the family have told they can come for tea and cake and nothing more. As it turns out because they cant come on her actual birthday due to her dancing alot of he family aren't available on Saturday anyway so it will on be a small number of people. I bought her some flowery socks from H&M to wrap up and then I will make an IOU with a picture of the present we were hoping to buy for her stuck to it. I know she will be fine.

Right, I am sure I have loads more to write but time is running away and I need to get on.First job check the bank account.

    Take Care xx

Or in spite of us all?

    Dribble can be wiped up!

Good luck with everything things sound on the turn - and youre better able to cope with them. Sorry so many people and things are being a pain in the b0t. It must be something in the water.

Glad the party is bottomed out. Im sure your daughter will love it. x

One thing I will say Mrs P re boiler insurance.. You still have to pay upfront for anything they find wrong... Then they put you onto a monthly direct debit after servicing the boiler.. This is what I found anyway...
I found it cheaper to ask around and have now eventually found a small one man company who does a fantastic job, for a better price.
Like you I am either the dribbling wreck or Mrs Angry... I prefer Mrs Angry as I find I am more in control..... When I become the dribbling wreck I totally lose it..:(
Your DD sounds lovely and I think she totally understands ... Re the party good for you for saying it was going to be a small affair.. I sometimes think you are rather "put upon" x

Hey Mrs P, glad you are all sorted for DD's birthday I know that was a worry. I prefer my Mrs Angry to my weeping mess, at least I feel prepared to tackle the world as Mrs Angry rather than hide away.

Hope you have had a good day and that the bank checking went well. Has the company followed up their remittance by putting the money in the bank?

Oh hope the birthday goes really well Mrs PG..in fact just tea and cake ( and NO extras mind...;)) sounds like just the thing. I may suggest the same for some celebrations coming up when tbh I don't have the energy, or the money, to offer more.

Sounds like things are on the up. Keep thinking positive. Hope the money starts coming through..after all he has done the work! Anything likely to come through next week at all?

Motley Crüe were OK I guess..but surely ACDC, Marillion, Scorpions, Metallica also deserve a mention??? Guess we can just test out a playlist at the bring your own party tonight:rotfl: oh anyone remember New Model Army??!!!!
