Good; things look better on a full stomach, don't they? DD2 sounds a very bright spark - hope you can get hold of a copy of her essay, MrsPG; bet it's priceless!
Glad to see you're on top of chasing the defaulting company; d'you think they will be able to withstand the combined mental bombardment from all of us vibing them to PAY UP NOW!
MrsPG sorry to hear that you cannot rely on your parents or sister for support; you must be doing an excellent job of keeping up appearances - which is encouraging, as it shows you can put on a good show of strength. Bodes well for your company's long-term future.
The combined experience of the MSE community is a wonderful resource - hopefully this 'family' will be much more useful to you as you work your way through the next few weeks.
No pms from me - takes weeks to catch up with my list of correspondants - as NL can confirm.
Hope you manage to sleep well tonight MrsPG.0 -
MrsPG, I've been a long time lurker on this thread - it's so long, and your friends and you have such a lovely bond that I haven't wanted to jump in! But I just wanted to tell you how amazing I think you are, you and your husband both. You're both dealing with so much pressure and stress, and working every hour of the day, and you're clearly managing to do an astounding job with your daughters to boot. DD1 being happy with an IOU and DD2 writing that essay. My DDs are tiny still, but if they're like yours in a few years I will be very proud, and I bet you are too.
I hope things are a bit better and you've had a slap up meal or two since your last post.MFW diary here. 1 Feb 2017 $229,371 - MFD Feb 2043  aiming for May 2028

So pleased to read you found some money in your PayPal account and have been able to do some food shopping. The world definitely looks better on a full stomach.
Reading some of the posts has brought tears to my eyes too. It just goes to show there are still lots of wonderful people who care about you.Diary: Conquering Debts Once and For All

Hi PG, really am very sorry that things are so tough for you. Hoping and praying that the money comes through. Have you got anything you can sell on ebay. I know its not instant cash but as the ad says every little helps. Stay strong.

L, I am ebaying everything in site with the exception of Mr PG and the Girls. Theres not much interest at the moment, but I did make £10 at the weekend and as you say every little bit helps. Thankyou xxxLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Hi PG ... glad you have found some money in the pay pal account.. if you do unfortunately find yourself needing food again as EE says a crisis loan might be able to help from the social fund. It is a free phone number and available to anyone working or not. You pay it back without interest and believe me I have had to give the number out to many people working. x
The social fund is part of the Department for work and pensions as of the end of March they will not be available in this form. The local authorities will be dealing with them in whatever form I have no idea
Me too bast. As I said before I had (until yesterday) no idea what a Social Fund is / was. If my head is clearer today and I can find the time I am going to re read everything suggested to me yesterday and cram up on it all so if the £95 runs out and nothing else has appeared I know where I am. Thankyou for your support, I know things are tough for you also xLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Whenever you need us, we are here
and even if you feel you can't accept our help now...we'll be here if you ever do. That's just what friends are for, whether you've met us virtually or face to face.
I must say, this thread has given me the warm and fuzzies today. It's amazing to see community spirit coming together to help someone in need. My faith in humanity has been restored
xx
Me too Kerri, I was telling Mr PG in the early hours some of what had been said yesterday and he agreed. We are both so incredibly grateful to everyone here.
I didnt quite get the war and fuzzies yesterday, more along the lines of ugly nose dribbling, puffy eyed sobs !Hopefully today I will be a little calmer and will see things clearer.
As I said to someone yesterday it feels like a family on here in a way and the best thing I ever did was start this diary even though at times I want to run and hide from it xxLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Robin, I am happier now I have some food in the house, I was worrying so much about the girls and the effect this would be having on them, but they seem fine and very understanding. I am so proud. I really hope I get to see the essay too but something tells me it will disappear into the ether never to be seen again.
I actually think we would terrify the Company That Wont Pay if we turned up mob handed and demanding ! Bet we would be a right motley crew don't you ? I would put you and New Leaf at the front though to shame then into paying !
My parents and sister are so lovely, but I cant worry my parents any more and my sister is wonderful but lives in an entirely different world from the one I inhabit ! I think I am doing a very good job of Keeping Up Appearances but perhaps they aren't fooled after all but are choosing not to say anything. Im not quite sure anymore . The bsiness has been goign for 14 years now, I think we are doing something right but just experiencing an awful lot of hiccups along the way. I'm not ready to admit defeat yet though and neither is Mr PG .
I slept a little better thankyou Robin, I am so exhausted.
Thankyou so so much for your advice and for taking the time to think of me xLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Mrs PG I feel your extreme stress, and want to hug you for real, put a hamper on your table, 2 tanks full of fuel, and several boots up non-payers backsides.
As for Food Bank, you don't have to be on benefits.
As for Predators, learn a lesson from their tactics. They put the fear into you by banging on your door. You need to do the same to your non-payers. The first thing to do at 9am is ring every one of them up and demand immediate payment. Speak to the highest person you can contact. Are any of them within easy reach, where you can state you will collect the cheque? Ring every day until payment appears. Hassle every person in the payment chain (in my organisation that is the admin person, the team leader, the manager, the Head Of, the Executive and A N Other Executive as second signatory). The key person in that chain who hasn't been mentioned is the PA to both Execs as the PA can put the payment run in front of the Exec and make them sign.
Food, fuel, car tax, £1 token payments to everyone.
Dancing can go hang until things improve, and the girls will understand if you can't pay for a ticket to watch them this weekend, you've never missed before. Tell organisers you are infectious, so can't pass it on to their audience. Maybe a recurrence of malaria! The more OTT the better.
Slightly longer term, can you rent out a room mid-week? Lots of folk live away from home during the week. The queen of MSE debt busting used to take in foreign students to keep the wolf from the door (I bet Piquant remembers her name and story). She's debt free now, but her debt was humungous when she first had her LBM.
Can I PM you so I can send you a parcel? Seriously.
xWhat would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0 -
Send the girls to a friends house for tea, as many times as possible, but only to someone who will bring them home for you to save fuel.
Use the infectious disease tale to cancel any visitors for a birthday celebration. DD will be happy with a simple home cooked meal if you decorate the table and get out the best china and put the iced water in a fancy jug and glasses. What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0 -

So lovely to see you armchair, but please please dont ever feel you cant pop up and join in with us all. The more the merrier we all say and as you can see I am incredibly lucky to have such a lovely bunch of friends on here. Please dont delurk, its not in the rules !
Thankyou so much for your kind words, another post that brought a tear to my eye. We are really nothing special just battling and doing the best we can as we all are in our own way. I am lucky I have a wonderful hubby and children. They make me very very proud which is why I wont give up on this mess, I cant for their sakes.
I will make DD some sparkly IOU's to go with the couple of bits I have found for her and I will make a card.
You sound lovely, therefore I am sure your tiny children will grown up to be wonderful and make you proud .:D
We had Gammon Steaks in a sticky sauce, mash and salad last night. Actually I didnt have the Gammon there wasnt enough for me, but that was fine. Everyone really enjoyed it. I will make some cakes later for the girls so they have some goodies to eat as well.
Thankyou for popping up when I needed it the most, dont disappear xxLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !
