I need to stop coming to your thread - I have just wasted 20 mins googling all the men mentioned on here:rotfl:
I was given my dishwasher & i couldn't live without it. I'm washing up at the moment for the next week as need salts & rinse aid & omg it reminds me how lazy i am and how convenient a dishwasher is :rotfl:
I've got some great things off freecycle too. Plant pots (bit stone ones) a t.v for mum after hers blew up:eek: was a big 32 inch one too :T ummm toys, clothes and things for the house! I've also given stuff away before now but tbh i can't for the life of me work out how to use the local one to us nowthe one in kent was so much easier
lol
good news about the cheques too :T
*And i won't mention the [STRIKE]outlaws[/STRIKE] inlaws too loudly* hope your weekend goes well though
Hope you enjoyed your Googling ! Dont stop coming here DFW, you never know what delights next week may bring !!:rotfl:
I am soooo fed up washing up, there always seems to be something in the sink, so I have decided to load it into the dishwasher if I dotn have time to do it, so at least my lovely newly ainted shiny kitchen looks tidy, then unload it all again when I do have time ! I am pretty confident Mr Pinot will be able to fix it when he next around
Well quick update for the day is -
1 - Pancakes were scrummy, ate far too many as DD2 decided to put Choccy chips in and smothered them in Maple Syrup for me. Gorgeous but so sickly !
2 - Couple of loads of washing done and drying ( not int he Tumble dryer, thats out of bounds and also making very funny noises like its about to blow up !)
3 - DD1 came home with friends in tow and DD2's friends have arrived, so have a houseful today, but its lovely.
4 - Mr Postman today bought me another lovely letter. This was from MBNA Credit Card number 3 - yet another claim for refund of charges. This one also amounted to about £900 ish. They have offered £352, so I'm really pleased with that. Just goes to show, MBNA1 said get lost we arent giving you anything, MBNA2 said you can have £112 and MBNA3 £352, there is no consistency. Anyway as the girls are occupied I am going to write to all three and ask them to reconsider / up their offers and see what they say.
5 - Just remembered Black Horse havent responded yet to my last letter re PPI, so if I have time I will do that as well.
6 - Parcel I returned with a pair of shoes for refund that we had bought for DD2 for Xmas appears to have been lost in the post, so need to raise a claim for those as well.
Off now to get busy typing letters
Hope everyones day is going well xxLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Just checked MBNA account and discovered us they have credit the account with £357.53
The question is, do I still go back and challenge them and ask for the additional £605 ?:think:LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Im not really up on PPI claiming - my Money advisor I thinkis going to tackle that one after we have "put the fire out" so to speak - but I did think that they were meant to find out if you accepted the offer before giving it to you??? I might be wrong - Im sure someone will come forward and advise you or I think there is a forum for PPI claiming

The MBNA ones were Credit Card Charges rather than PPI, but yes I do agree, thought it was a bit odd they gave me the money so willingly. With the Capital One reclaim I recently accepted, I had to sign a delcaration. With the other MBNA, which has offered £112, they have said they will send me a cheque within 30 days rather than crediting the account and the other card has credited the account immediately. Case of left hand doesnt know what the other is doing I think !
The PPI is only a small amount, I have loads more where that came from though !
I always think as long as the friends are no trouble its lovely to have them all over. Its when I get the ones who wander aimlessly around the house waiting to be entertained that drive me nuts ! I had a child once ,who decided to have a bath whilst here, at the age of 6, and I found her running herself a bath, complete with bubbles, in her birthday suit ready to climb in !!! :rotfl:LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Evening All!
Sorry about your dishwasher and tumble dryer Pinot:( Its been a bit like that here lately. Just before Christmas both cars needed work in the space of a week, the toaster packed in, the dishwasher started leaking and the cooker stopped working:eek:
Then two days after Christmas the fridge door fell off and from then we were only able to open it about 6 inches without it falling off! TBH it was very old and i'd wondered how long it would last. Luckily it was my birthday this week and my mum bought me a new fridge for my birthday:) We're still getting used to the fact we can open it all the way:rotfl: Also when we emptied the old one we found quite a few bits at the back that we'd forgotten we had:eek:
BUT I really couldn't manage without the dishwasher. Ours stopped leaking so fingers crossed. Our tumble drier needs new bearings, Its struggling to work and making a terrible squeaking noise. We are actually paying to get it done. DH is brilliant but we have a good repair service locally. Not sure how much yet but they've given us a maximum figure:think:
Hope the family trip goes well Pinot. We live near DH relatives but rarely see them. But have had to put our hands in our pockets to help some out even when we've been having problems ourselves:mad:
Its just assumed that we're doing alright which I really have to keep my cool about.
Well done on the charges refund. If you don't ask you don't get. When we started on the DMP we had several 'late payment' charges by BOI which were mounting up. I wrote telling them that they were adding to our debt etc etc as advised on the forum and abracadabra they stopped interest and refunded the charges. I was really pleased:)
Kent recycle is good. I have a look every day. I also got a sofa & armchair on ebay just before Christmas as one of our sofas was sinking to the floor and its brilliant. Almost new, matches our remaining one really well, M&S and only £90!!!
Even when we are out of this mess I don't think I'd but a brand new one ever again.
Well if you've got to the bottom of all this waffle, have a great Sunday everyone:):wave:DMP mutual support member 3970 -
Well Happy Monday Everyone !
Up bright and early this morning , ready to tackle another week. Updated my signature on Saturday evneing, I am always too excited to wait until the end of a month so I update every time something is paid , however small. We also Have The Pinot National Debt Spreadsheet which we update constantly as well ! Maye I will frame it when we are finally Debt Free, if that day ever arrrives, so we can remind ourselves how far we have come !:D
We wont mention the lovely family gathering at the weekend, needless to say a whole bottle of Pinot was consumed by Mr Pinot and I when we finally arrived home , in a bid to calm ourselves. Anyway its all over and done with now ......until the next one. Cant go into specifics unfortunatley, if I could it would go onto for pages and pages and pages !!
But today is another day and I'm not sure what to tackle. Will quickly iron uniform before girls wake as I'm pretty behind with that.
Need to visit library and pay the blasted fine....not sneak away like I did last time. - Didnt do that, it was shut !
Post the letters to MBNA - Post Office closed down ! Grr ! Need to go to another further away but ran out of time !
Work - year end looming and I have spent so much time trying to sort our personal finances, I have neglected the business finances a little, so need to get motivated there again. New Contract starts today, so fingers crossed all will go well with that. - Made a start !
Free Tickets to Cinema tonight, I am taking DD1 for a girly night out, if she gets all of her homework done and I can organise a babysitter for DD2. - Yep done that !
Go back over previous lists as I'm sure there are many things not crossed off and recompile new list !
Surveys - There are so many sitting in my inbox. I probably cant do half of them now.
Oh and Ive fallen behind with the daily updates of my Spending Diary, so thats an important job I need to do. Had a really busy few days, so I need to get back in a routine with that. - Done !
WASH UP ...... still !- Yep ......again !
Hope everyones week and day goes well and you all had a good weekend xLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !
