The Bear refused to be a prisoner too, escaping on his second day with me!

PetPlan are good at paying out, the Captain is insured with them. They do a for life cover for cats I think, but that's expensive. They're doing a 10% offer on the first years insurance through Quidco. But Morethan are offering £60 cashback and 25% discount!

Thanks Piq, I will take a look at that later.

I have no idea how we are going to keep him in for another 10 days. We are partially open plan downstaris, there are no closing doors betweent he front and back door and as he isnt the cleanest of cats I dont want to shut him int he lounge with a litter tray as I dread to think what nasty pressies he will leave for me.

I'm not quite sure what I'm going to do really ! x

  • FW - The dress looks beautiful, you shall be the Belle of the Ball ! Have you some fab shoes to go with it ?

Im glad the interview went well yesterday for your OH , heres hoping he will manage with the hours ok.

Well done on booking the haircut, I had mine trimmed yesterday. The last time it was done was May, but as it seems to be worn piled on top of my head these days anyway it didnt really sow that it was in desperate need of a tidy up ! Im pleased I had it done now though.

The Insurance Assessor for the Car called this morning and offered to come to me to look at the car rather than me driving to him which was about 45 mins each way.I had jsut got back indoors form the vets and was startign work, so it suited me jsut fine. He will need the car for bout 5 days apparently to do the work, so I will just wait to hear now when he can do the work.

DD1 back at the Doctors again at 12 o clock and I also need to make a call to the school as I am not happy with some of the teaching , so I willno doubt be the talk of the staffroom later !

Work still dribbling in nicely for this month, now I need to get some booked in for November to keep things ticking over ! :D

A couple of Feliway plugin diffusers might help. It sends out calming pheromones. I've found it helps Colin stay calmer, he's very nervous, though I did buy it for the Bear.

You can get them online or at your local Cats Protection place, pets at home or your vet.

The pets board is very helpful too and may come up with a better solution, try posting there.

Thankyou Piq, I didnt realise there even was a Pets Board !

I have a Felliway diffuser lurking somewhere from when he was a baby. Hes alwasy been very nervy.

They have just called to say he is awake and ok, so I need to collect him later.

Dropped DD1 back at school, she needs to be referred :(

Phoned the school and have a phone app with the Head of the Department Im not happy with at 2.30 so that should be interesting !

Now I really must get some proper work done today.

Hope everyone is having a good day x

PG, sorry to hear about poor cat and unnecessary expense I can't really offer any solutions I'm afraid, just moral support.

I hope your car gets sorted soon.

I really hope you get things sorted out regarding DD as there is nothing worse than feeling that the school are not doing all they should. I never had that problem with my 2, the school were good, the DC were bad :rotfl: Angels now but gosh they were difficult teenagers, side effects of living with OH unfortunately which I couldn't really do anything about at the time and only on reflection now realise how bad he made it for them.

Thank you granny, the comments from everyone mean a lot as I had been struggling a lot with my weight (put just enough on that clothes are starting to not fit and I've never been in this situation) so finding a dress my size fit made a huge difference and then having all you lovely people tell me I look lovely is just brilliant :)

I'm going to have a search around primarni for pretty bracelets and things to go with. I'll wait until Sunday though as I can get free metro travel 3 hours before my football match at 4pm so it'll save on parking and petrol. Looking forward to getting my haircut, should print off the picture I used to get it chopped last time I had it this way I think.

I think you look lovely too! The dress is gorgeous. Good luck with finding the right jewellery.

I think we need a photo before you go out , all dressed up in all of your finery. I insist that the girls have a photo taken every time they leave the hosue all dressed up for a party , Ive done it since they were tiny.

I popped into Primarche a few days ago, looking for bits the girls needed for the dance shows this weekend, they had lots of pretty bracelets and nice little bags as well so hopefully you should find something .

    Thankyou Granny for your support.

The Cat is hard work. He kept me up most of the night howling and scratching at the door of the room he was in overnight. When I went into him at about 3.30am, he had pulled of his collar again. I really cant afford anymore vets bills if he has pulled the stitches out. I have managed to get the collar back on him this morning. He is being very loving and soppy, I feel guilty getting irriated by him.:o We are having so much trouble getting in and out of the house. I had to climb out of the kitchen window this morning as every time I went to the front or back door to leave he was hot on my tail trying to escape ! I managed to get back in again through the door though.:rotfl:

Mr Pinot is rushing back from Newcastle, he can help me take a look at the wound rather than stressing him out once more and taking him back to the vets in his box . Once we have looked I will call the vets and see if they have a smaller collar for him that I can go and collect, assuming he doesnt need more stitches. If he does I really dont know what we will do .

NHBC and the Builders arriving shortly to take a look at the Roof. This should be entertaining. :D

Granny I will be back later re the School situation !
