I really hope some more work crops up for your this month also. It is such a worry. Sometimes the thought of a regular pay cheque onthe same day every month sounds lovely, but then again these days Im not sure if really thats anymore secure with all the redundancies about.
Hope you have a good first day back at work on Monday !:)
I know what you mean. Mostly I'm happy we decided to buy a business but during the quiet times those little doubts creep in and you wonder whether it's worth it. But it's early days for us, business wise, and things definitely picked up at the end of last year. Fingers crossed, February brings more work, although March is already looking better. :jDiary: Conquering Debts Once and For All

I'm pleased to hear the news about your contract. At least it will assist with some money for you.
Also glad DD is feeling better today.
Hope you enjoyed your curry. We had smoked haddock so our house smells of fish. The cat was waiting for us to give him some fish.
Hope your week-end is going OK, it certainly sounds like it.June 16 Mortgage Amount £82,896.15

I am the queen of weird dreams. Normally they incorporate things I have seen or read about in the day or watched on telly. The strangest thing though is I always remember them. I used to have lots of dreams of going out to places like work etc with either the top half or the bottom half of clothing missing
I think that is a self confidence thing. And I used to have a dream I loved that hasn't happened for a while - flying. Pushing off from the floor and flying over the rooftops, soaring etc. I have had lots of dreams where OH has really really annoyed me and I have struggled to forgive him when I have woken up the next day
Pleased about the contract, that must be a weight off your mind.

It's so weird, I had the 'soaring' dream about 6 months ago. I dreamt that I was picked up by a nice giant who had me tucked in his coat while he ran about and vaulted over houses and huge fences. It felt so real though, I felt the actual sensation of jumping as well as the terror/exhilaration. The 'giant' was some sweet guy I work with and I felt very peculiar next time I talked to him. I wondered if he had had the same dream. Or in fact, if he is a giant in his spare time.:D
I also often wake up annoyed with Mr Banwa for something he has done in my dream, when he has wronged me somehow
My sister's husband Simon is a lovely man in real life but she tells me Dream Simon is a real b*st*rd
Anyway enough ramblings from me. I hope you have forgiven Dream Mr Pinot:rotfl:Debt £26k 18/10/140 -
Hi PG
It's amazing how many posts there are to get through even over a couple of days..no weekends off in MSE land!! Feel like I am behind with my homework:rotfl:
Everyone posting sounds like they are doing realy great. Afternoon all,
Just been catching up on your posts, you have been making me giggle this afternoon with your stories of your dreams !! Dream Mr Pinot has been forgiven for now Banwa, until the next time at least ! Isnt it funny how our minds play tricks on us ! I feel quite sorry for Dream Simon though ! No dreams for me last night though , I actually quite missed them.:(
I am also sure that somewhere deep inside us, we all have some Natural Earth Mother tendancies desperate to get out ! Mine surface occcasionally, when all is calm, I am baking like a domestic goddess, the girls are doing their homework and chatting amongst themselves nicely. I then have a little smug smile to myself about how perfect the Pinot family is.....then in a flash ,my bubble is burst, the arguments start, dinner is burnt and World War 3 errupts !! I cherish those rare moments but wish they cropped up more often !!:rotfl:
Today has been a calm day, nothing too exciting to report, washing again and ironing, DD2 went to the stables , I made a Sweetcorn and potato chowder for lunch as I knew she would be freezing when she came home, so was Mr Pinot, as he went to watch her ride as he hadnt seen her for a while. They came home with loads of lovely photos of DD2 and her favourite Pony, who incidentally is also up for loan. Spent about 10mins wallowing in my guilt that she can"t thave one, then jolted myself out of it by reminding myself that regardless of our muddle they are very very lucky and priveleged girls , so I need to get a grip, which I have now done !:)
Parents dropped in from their trip to Aldi and bought me a bottle of Pinot as a little pressie which was lovely. It was the posh Aldi Pinot apparently £3.99, so I will savour it !
Managed to convince DD2 to do homework and DD1 has now gone off to her singing lessons all be it barely being able to speak, but we would lose all the money if we cancelled, so she had to go. They are expensive but I want to try and keep her going if we can. She loves it so much and it has given her loads of confidence, but also at the age she is now, I think its so important that she has hobbies rather than hanging around the street corner as many of her peers do. She has a show coming up soon and is so excited.:j
Thats my day, no painting done again, Mr Pinot is concentrating on the cars today , looks like they both need new brake pads so he is taking a look at those. He will order them off of ebay and fit them himself which will save a few bob.
Thankyou for all your messages, I have decided today not to try and answer you all individually, I feel bad if I dont, but I really think boredom would set in if you all if you had to read much more of my rambles. Hope you have all had a lovely Sunday.:D
Oh one last thing, I made pinkpiggies Microwave Chocolate cake, think I must have cooked it on the wrong setting though as it has come out of the microwave all springy, wobbly . A bit like a brown chocolate odd looking jelly like creation. Everyone was good enough to taste some, but judging by the grimaces it will have to be relegated to the bin ! Best I use a lower setting next time !:rotfl:LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

I know what you mean about singing lessons be expensive. DW used to have a one hour lesson a week about 6 years and it cost about £22.
I can guess Pinot will be drinking the Pinot this evening.
My DD tried horse riding when she was about 4. It didn't last long as Grandad thought it was too dangerous at her age. Now she has no interest in it all all.
At the present time she is sitting going through her Spanish for her Advanced Higher. I can't understand a word of what she is saying. :rotfl:

I know exactly what you mean about the earth mother thing. It is so lovely at the time but as soon as I actually think that everythings right with the world some catastrophe befalls the loubylou household.
The only thing i was smug about (and it came as a result of me failing to do something) was on Christmas eve. We had friends round (bring your own- we did it once and now everyone expects it) Anyway it was all very pleasant talking about what we were doing Christmas day etc.
Then somebody mentions DS1's birthday which is also Christmas day and horror upon horror I realise that for the first time I had frgotten to buy him a cake.
Poor lad its the only Birthday thing he has really. Anyway we had the 'will one of the garages have one?' debate, friend no1 offered her husbands cake (it was his birthday xmas eve) much to his disdain and friend no 2 offered her husbands cake (birthday boxing day). His face was a picture.
I declined both and when everyone had left I decided to make one myself. 1am it was still in the oven! I had decided to make one large one instead of a sandwich cake and as you said Pinot every time I got it out it was a wobbling mass.
But eventually it cooked, I decorated with chocolate butter cream and a crumbled flake and they all said it was delicious and that I was a good mummy for staying up to do it. Its so rare I feel like a good mother that I soaked up all the praise - better than any xmas present. That shows how sad I am!
God don't I go on? Better go and cook tea.
