  • Oh HH thankyou so much, you made me cry, how stupid is that ?!

I'm so angry with myself as I know that the defaults are good as I have been telling others that same, but obviously not very good at following my own advice, the same with the Tax. I think they always freak me out as many years ago they refused to play ball or help out. Mr Pinot was away, DD2 was newborn and I asked them for two more weeks to pay our remaining tax, we were only 3 weeks late and they refused and got quite nasty. It really was a one off, I have never spoken to anyone since there like that and dout I will but think it still haunts me ! I need to get a grip.

I have curled myself up on the sofa since I posted last with DD1 and we are watching Legally Blonde ! I shouldnt as I have so much to do and am feeling very guilty .

Good luck in the Euromillions tonight x

It must have been ready to come out Pinot.

Good you had some downtime today, you deserve the time out. In any case it's about the quality of our interactions not the time we spend on them. Look after your soul, that's important, you have been through a lot. Cuddling up sounds perfect :)

    HHx
  • Thankyou HH for listening today. I feel much better now, a bit worn out though !

Tomorrow is another day and I will be back to being positive and motivated. You have so many wise words for me at the moment !

    Hi Pinot,

Just popped in to say hope DD feeling heaps better and that you enjoyed your snuggle moment!

Congrats on the contract, and the now pay-day! A definite positive.

The inland revenue sound very harsh and well done on Mr Pinot for sharing that particular burden. Hope your dreams tonight are much more peaceful. If the cream double decker comes again, imagine it's actually a holiday tour bus and is taking you off to the lovely seaside or something nice.

See you tomorrow (or today now I suppose)

  • Hi Pinot

Wow, what a day (and night) you're having. Hope DD is feeling better. A chill out watching DVDs is probably what the doctor ordered for both of you.

Good news about the contract. I know they're not easy to come by. I also run a business which is very very quiet in January (my first job for this month is on Monday) so understand how difficult this month can be. At least you know there is some light at the end of the tunnel now, even if you don't know when pay-day is!

Hey Pinot, finally had a chance to catch up on your news from the last few days. Things seem to move really fast in your life, it makes mine seem very dull! I'm so pleased that your news is mainly positive, especially the contract and the pay-day.

Hope your daughter is feeling better today. In an extremely selfish way I used to quite like my little girl feeling off-colour because it was the perfect excuse to spend all day cuddling on the sofa watching telly! Unless she was throwing up of course, that used to make me heave!

Thankyou Ceebeeby for your post. Wouldnt it be lovely if the double decker was whisking me away on holiday. I really wouldnt care where I went, 10 mins down the road wouldsuit me ! Thankfully the bus didnt figure in my dreams last night, only rats ! I didnt realised it was a dream ,so called Mr Pinot when I woke up as he was already at work and asked him whereabouts he thought the rats were hiding and why did he think we had them and he thought I was going totoally bonkers. I was convinced we had had the conversation, but it clearly was another werid dream ! I need to get a grip !:o

    Morning !

I really hope some more work crops up for your this month also. It is such a worry. Sometimes the thought of a regular pay cheque onthe same day every month sounds lovely, but then again these days Im not sure if really thats anymore secure with all the redundancies about.

Hope you have a good first day back at work on Monday !:)

    Hiya HH,

Your life is far from dull I can tell you after reading your diary ! Yep the news is mainly positive, I was jsut having a blip yesterday !

DD1 appears to be feeling better today although hasnt been awake long so we will see. Must admit I loved having her at home yesterday, it was so nice for an excuse to donothing more than sit and cuddle her. Shes getting all grown up now and I hate it :(, but it was lovely to sit and have a long old chat without any interruptions. The movie was good as well, I hadnt seen it in years x

  • Well today is another day, and after yesterdays blip, I'm back to my normal self today !

Mr Pinot spoke to the Inland Revenue who were very apologetic, had all the notes on file re our arrangements and confirmed that we were paying over and above. They insisted they had no idea why the letter was sent to us in the first place. Silly People !

Woke with a start this morning remembering that I had forgotten to take DD2 to the dentist for a filling yesterday and had let her go to the stables with her friend to groom the friends horse ! Oops, best I phone and apologise later if they are open. DD2 came home full of tales that there are two horses for loan at these particular stables. I wish so much that I could let her have one, as its all she has wanted for the last few years, but in the current situation it has had to be a firm no :(

Dont think I will be doing much debt busting today. The printer has decided to stop working, cant figure out whats wrong with it at the moment adn I'm not in the mood for writing to Wescott, so I will save that job for Monday I think.

Kitchen still not finished so I may give the walls another coat of paint. We will see.

Need to go food shopping , there is now a serious lack of food in the house, actually its mainly goodies for the girls I'm lacking and juice, those sorts of bits. DD2 has been doing loads of baking so I dont buy the goodies anymore, she makes them, but we have no flour, caster sugar, eggs left so I need tot stock up, and I want to buy bread flour and start making the bread again.

Other than that, I'm not too sure what today will bring, but I hope , whoevers reading has a lovely weekend..

Oh and the sun is shining here, although thick frost on the ground, it really does lift my mood. Am tempted to wrap up warm and take the girls for a nice walk along the river x:)

  • Never did make it to the River for the walk I planned, but I did get outside to do the recycling and the Bunnies Cage with the girls ! Not quite the same but some nice fresh air still.

Received our first statement from MBNA ( the one thats not been defaulted on yet), no interest, no late charges, just a payment and reduced balance !:j I'm looking forward to many more of them !

Paid £420 to the Inland Revenue, been shopping, spent £68.56 but I'm pretty pleased with that as we have barely been since Christmas and the grocery budget is still looking healthy. I'm hoping there will be some left by the end of the month as I will definately need to put it towards Februarys Grocery budget.

Other than that 5 loads of washing done, beds stripped, washed and ironed. Currently have friends of both DD1 and DD2 over at the moment which has meant they are occupied and I have had a chance to get on with a few bits. I am craving a few hours to myself with noone in the house and no work , to sit down and go back over our money, budgets etc, join up to some challenges read over the Old Style thread for money saving tips. I find theres never enough hours in the day to do that. Maybe I will manage it next week but I wont hold my breath !

Dinner is a made up Chicken Curry that I slung in the Slow Cooker, smells nice but we will see when we come to eat it. Am hoping not to poison the Pinot Family with my offerings :D

I will update my signature later, I think it may increase slightly with the interest that was still added in December, but we will see.
