So so great to have you back but sorry you've been in pain.
We joined a gym last year and it was great to go as a family. Unfortunately I couldn't justify the expense this year so just OH and I have joined, DDs go swimming there but it's much less luxurious and no sauna! but given my knee I do need regular gym trips from about the end of the month otherwise the last 3 months of immobility and an op will have been wasted. As i say my compromise has been to ditch the pricey one and go for a cheap Council one which whilst busier should be fine.
Great news on the PPI and EBaying. We have 2 bids on some stuff so £20 already...every little helps!!MFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

Mr Pinot in a mankini reminds me of a friend of ours who was doing his police training in Wellington. About half of the people on the course were English the rest mainly NZ'ers. Anyway, they have to do the exercise where you are strapped into a cage and then turned upside down in water and have to get out. Well, my friend is a bit of a prankster and loves nothing more than dressing up... so he walked out of the changing rooms in a mankini and as is the kiwi tradition socks and jandels (flip flops to you and me). All the English trainers burst out laughing but the kiwi's sat in stunned silence.... they didnt get it! I still the remember the photo that was emailed to my friend's wife. :rotfl: :rotfl: Not sure it's an image I want to remember.Diary: Conquering Debts Once and For All

Brilliant story Mrs Fluffy, I can see why it reminded you of Mr Pinot Mankini. Us English do appear to have a very odd sense of humour compared to the rest of the world !!LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Yes Mrs B it is indeedy !! I was fed up hunting the house for a calculator each time I wanted to see how much we had paid off, although we do have the Pinot National Debt Spreadsheet but sometimes I am just too lazy to open it and have a look !
I tried the Council Gym, but they didnt want me either !! I felt so unloved !!As the girls are free at the posh gym and the dance classes, tennis coaching etc are included, and they agreed special terms due to Mr Pinots many absences over the course of the year we decided to give it a try. The only trouble is I now need to be purchase some trainers ( those Louboutins just wont cut it at the gym !) and in my current state of immobility not sure I can actually even get there let alone do any exercise, but give me a day or so and I am determined to be doing my thing with the best of them !!

I do hope you get mobile soon and that the pain disappears. I think the Laboutins will have to be temporarily replaced with good supporting trainers - sorry:o

Damn, I was hoping to colour in the sole of my New Look shoes with a red sharpie and pass them off as Louboutins to fit in with the Yummy Mummies at the gym ! !
And thankyou, I have more meds to collect later, but to be honest its all a waste of time, I just need an op (£12,500  ) or some injections (£6500 ) zapped into my back , as they have been doing for the past 6 years then I will be back to my normal bouncy self ! Unfortunately it appears the NHS think they have spent far too much money on me so I am back to the drawing board !! We will get there in the end though with a bit of shouting from Mr Pinot. I tend to hide in the corner as I dont like fussing !
On another subject, when are we scheduled for the sample blagging day, I have run out of everything, even my Aldi Snake Venom and I'm getting desperate. Treated myself to a couple of magazines the other day and some sneaker B*g**r had pulled out all of the freebies !!
Was it you Piq ?!!!:rotfl:LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Well I think the highlight of my day has been the Dishwasher chopping discussion over on Mrs B's diary ( not sure she knows we have even hi-jacked her diary with that one yet though !) and Fit Bodyguards on Piqs !!
My afternoon has consisted of a little housework, lots of filing, number crunching and trying to decide what to cook for dinner with the little food we have in the cupboards ! Thankfully neither girls fancied dance class this evening , as we tend to be out of the house for about four hours and I didnt much fancy the driving around this evening. This weather makes me want to pull the curtains and hide away in my pj's under the duvet, its so miserable and depressing ! DD1 collected my prescription from the docs after school. I am livid they have given me 10 tablets which at a cost of £7 something per item on the prescription means thats 70p a tablet. They gave me 10 of these particular ones last week of which I have two left . All these prescriptions certainly werent built into the budget !
DD2 has a friend playing at the moment. They have decided to get the dolls house and Sylvanian Families House out to play with, how refreshing to see two 11 years olds still happily playing with their dolls !! I think DD1 actually secretly wants to join in , although she is cramming for a French Test for tomorrow !
Discovered I had muddled up some figures and inadvertently taken the business account into an overdraft by £5  I have spent all day trying to transfer some money over to get it back into credit but they apparently have a problem with their system. I have emailed our Bank Manager as I dont really want to pay charges if I can help it, so I am hoping she has got it sorted for me. How annoying.
I have had notification that two clients are payingthe business tomorrow meaning I can pay us ,and in turn the creditors and the Inland Revenue so I am looking forward to updating the figures again
Planning a lazy evening tonight. Mr Pinot should be away for three days but he has said he will drive back and forth instead and the Doc has told me I am allowed a small glass of Pinot when I pleaded with him , it might knock me out enough to sleep, so I am looking forward to that tonight.;)
Tomorrow my plan is for lots of upbeat smileyness, as todays diary has been far to boring for my liking ! xxLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !
