Well its taken me forever tonight to catch up with your posts on here, I was going to attempt to add my two penneth to the numerous topics of conversation that have been going on over the past few days, but It could take a while, so maybe it would be better if I didnt even try !!

The weekend was lovely, and amazingly I didnt shed a tear ! I was fully prepared to but I didnt:p The Roller Skating Disco went great, the kids were lovely, those that came back to sleep were angels. DD2 was so lucky, her friends brought her such amazing presents and one of the little girls said to her "See **** this is how much all of your friends love you !" That comment very nearly did make me cry, I had to walk out of the room. They finally all fell asleep just after 2ish Sat morning and woke about 10 in time for bacons sarnies. Last child left about 1ish after DD had opened her pressies from us, then the family and our friends began to arrive, last lot finally left about 10pm Sat night, they then descended again Sunday morning, leaving about 3ish. Off to the Cinema we then headed with friends and their children which was DD2's pressie from them and a meal. She is still smiling now, she is one very lucky little girl, but very appreciative as well, so that makes me proud. Nothing was expected and everything she received big or small she loved. :D So I am one very proud Mummy again !!

On other notes - Chickens and Hedgeghogs seems to have been hot topics of conversation !! I would love to keep chickens, for the eggs alone, as I am ashamed to say, they actually scare me ( the chickens not the eggs !!) ! I think I must have been traumatised as a child by a chicken, as I find them quite freaky ! DD2 though would be happy to take charge and do all of the feeding etc, but the garden isnt big and as we have plans for veg growing this year , I think I will stick to that for this summer and re think the Chicken situation next year ! We also get alot of foxes here so it may not be wise. We had five seemingly orphaned hedghogs in the garden last year. They were so tiny, I found them sitting outside the back door in the cats food bowl in broad day light. They moved in for a few days and lived in the downstairs toilet in the Cat Basket, while we tried to find out what to do with them. The vets werent interested so We eventually took them to a rescue shelter, where DD2 was in her element as she was offered a voluntary job as soon as she is older to help there !! I am sure she is hoping we will find some more this year !

Posh British Wine - Well Mrs B, in days gone by I'm sure I may have enjoyed Camel Valley( the name rings a bell ) , but I think my particular Aldi delight was in the region of £1.23, I think thats all that was left in my purse after all of the shower gels ! Never ever again ! My head the next day felt like it had been trampled on by 10 horses. 3 for 10 all the way it is now for me !!

Kitchen Implements and thoughtful Pressies !! - I received a Wooly Jumper for my 21st from ex OH (I was after jewellery but HE decided I didnt need it, so chose a very fetching hand knit pink and purple hairy jumper instead , needless to say he became the Ex quite soon after !) Mr Pinot, lovingly bought me a Scaletrix and a Thigh Master a few years ago for Christmas. Apparently I had shown an interest in both of these items at some point ?! For some reason though, I havent got rid of him yet, so I suppose he must be doing something right !! Since all this debt malarky though, I have taken to asking for strange presents .....last year I asked for soup spoons ( I make loads of soup , but we didnt have soup spoons, but I couldnt bring myself to spend the money and buy them !) My sister did humour me though and bought me six , much to her digust ! This year I have asked for a lemon juicer !! I am really hoping someone remembers, I have pointed a few out to the girls ,that I have my eye on and am hoping they have taken note !! Isnt it funny how quickly our priorities change ?!! Once upon a time diamonds may have been at the top of the list !!)

What else can I burble on about ?

Oh........... we made £310.00 on ebay over the weekend !!:j

My Car, according to the garage has nothing wrong with it, they didnt charge us for looking, so it is back home and behaving itself ! ( Thankyou though Mr Dec for your words of wisdom, I will most definately bear them in mind ! How are you by the way, good to see you and I trust that you are smelling lovely still ?!! :rotfl:) My Girls went to a friends today for a couple of hours and reported back that there was shiny new car on their driveway. Was I wrong to tell them that as lovely as the car was, it wasnt actually paid for ?! That we could all, (if we could make the payments could have whatever fancy car sitting on the driveway) , but it didnt actually belong to us until the final payment was made, and if we missed one payment it would be taken away. I explained that as much as ours were getting old, they were ours, all paid for and noone could take them away ?! I really needed them to know that things arent always as they seem and shiny new cars dont make you happy and are sometimes there for show. I know for a fact that they rarely do anything as a family, the childrens birthdays are barely acknowledged land all the money goes on whatever fancy gadget or car dad wants and not on the children. Each to their own I know and who am I to judge, but it rilled me for some reason. These things are so unimportant to me now, whereas maybe a few years ago that could have been us, althought the whole family thing and birthday has alwasy meant alot to me ! Oh how your whole mind set changes once that LBM sets in !!

Oh MRs B, hope you are ok all on your lonesome this week, And Mrs Fluffy, hope your DS has a wonderful birthday.

Right I'm off now in an attempt to catch up with you all over on your diaries, forgive me if it takes a while !!

Good to see you all and thankyou for keeping my diary very busy in my abscence !! :T

Oh well since then I've spent over £100 on 400 thread count 100% cotton bedding, panicked that I'd get stuck in Scotland because of people buying petrol, bought stuff for the garden and used it, and now feeling rather guilty about spending :)

Eyes are hurting because of my hayfever booo. Best to bed now though, will read what you've been up to tomorrow promise xx

Oh Dear !!! Lots of spends then. I can think of worse places to be stuck with a lack of petrol though.

I have been strangely elusive on my diary these last few days, but everyone else has kept it busy for me ! :D

    Morning PG!

Sorry about the hayfever Kerri, that's a really miserable thing to get.

I'm with you on the shiny new cars, I can't believe how much a new one can cost, it's horrific. These days I just couldn't bring myself to take out finance for anything, it will be save or go without. Cars lose their value straight away, unless you've sold the house and bought a top of the range car to drive and live in.

What a fantastic birthday DD2 had, she will remember it for a long time to come. I think the effort you have put in to make it so special is great. However, I do think you may find that it has negated your membership to the bad mummy club - oh well, win some, lose some...

    Good to have you back.

My car is knocking on now. One of the positives of thatis I no longer worry about a scratch here and there. Not sure I would spend on a new car again. Then again, never say never :)
