Not at all. It's a balance between how much is involved and how much effort is required to get it. The point being made, I think, was that many of these O2 deals aren't worth the time and effort.

    Personal choice, of course. :)

Thanks for clarifying, but I still don't see how that marks me out as a saddo, for claiming say a free book that I would like to read from a shop I am already in. It takes me 10 seconds to open the app and get the code while I'm in there. In my opinion that makes it well worth the time and effort. I never go out of my way to get a freebie I don't want or would never use. I don't have a problem with the app not working in shops either. Am I still a saddo under your definition?

I don't go out of my way but sometimes things work well together.

I managed to get some free Millies cookies and Odeon tickets on the same day, so a good deal via o2.

The Sophie McKenzie book isn't on mine, there is an offer from Access Self Storage for £20 of free packaging material, valid until 30/09/13. Never heard of them but they are near where I live so if I'm passing near I may pick it up.

I think the books were all snapped up pretty quickly. I used mine at 9am, and when I looked again at 2.30pm it had vanished, rather than just saying redeemed as it usually does.

    interesting

Im using windows 8 phone rather than android so dont get a 'redeemed' message just 'there was a problem accepting this moment. please try again later'

In the past Ive been getting various codes without even having an O2 SIM in the phone (Im using an OVIVO SIM)

I had to have an O2 SIM in the phone to get the App installed but after its installed it does not seem to care what SIM you are using

Ive tried putting an O2 SIM back in the phone but still get the same message above so dont think the SIM is the issue

    EDIT :

just realised the previous thorntons offer code I had saved & that had expired has now somehow unexpired itself for a further 8 days so good result
