you would prob be better just changing the camera.
They are not expensive. We setup a ptz 32x zoom dome camera it cost less than 150 pound. Used rj45 cable for power/ptz controll etc one cable for full operation of camera. Decent static cameras are even cheaper under 30 pound.

OK, totally got the wrong end of the stick there.

You want to use the SCART connector on a DVR that takes a BNC input.

Completely ignore my previous post, my apologies if it misled you.

The cable that goes into the SCART socket, it is most likely a 2 core cable or single inner and a braid outer.
They will connect to pins 20 & 17 (see here for pins).

You can cut those pins or the cable and connect them to a plug, perhaps buying a short BNC lead and cutting that & using choc block - not the best but it will work.

All you are changing is the connector on the end of the cable.

From the photo, it appears that there is one cable to the camera. At the least that will have power + video + screen. It may also have audio as well.

The cable splits inside the SCART connector to the separate cables for power and that extra 6-way (?) connector which I think is intended to connect to a compatible monitor that includes a power supply to the camera.

This can be established by opening the SCART connector carefully (unscrew the cable gland and the plastic case should fold off the plug assembly).
A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.

Thought it may have been, OP is extremely vague on answer's.

Look's like a 4 core phone cable going to the junction box then. As answer has been given a few time's allready, won't reply again.

I'm not meaning to be vague, just don't understand it, that's why I'm asking and why I posted a picture to try and explain better!

It's all very complicated inside! No idea how to explain it so will probably leave it connected to the tv.

Thank you ALL for your help :T:T:T
