    Yes, it will be when the system's up and running after re-installation. Just a thought, if you have the option as you go through the installation process to turn off automatic updates, do so. You can on XP, can't remember in vista OTTOMH. Will just make it easier for you to see what you've got and then what you need to do to then get it up-to-date :)

    Of course this is not the right way to re-install from the discs. I can hardly believe that no one bothered to check before posting.

    The instructions are to be found here Section 3-11.

    Can't open malwarebytes either, saying " an error has occured please report this error to our support team PROGRAM--ERROR-LOAD DATABASE (0,13,CreateSDK)

    I have done the recovery discs. am back online if i did it right am unsure, was confused:oby the bios settings, am now tring to do the updates at first attmept an error came up 8024402f, ok did it again, 115 updates found! Im hoping all will be well after installing these, is there anyhting else I should be doing?
