Well, as most of you know I have now started the new challenge and I've been so impressed with the response! Thank you all for being so supportive, we are a TEAM!!!

Today has been ok as I've got my 9th NSD. I've spent most of my evening sorting out the new challenge so not much to report in the way of money saving. I have however sold 2 more items on Amazon so that'll be another few £s to shave off my debt... tomorrow I will make my November payment for my loan so will have £260 less debt tomorrow. It's a good thought!

nearly midnight and still up, urgh!

Anyhoo. I'm thinking of ditching my diary and just commenting on the new thread. I'm not one for posting odds and sods. I don't think anyone will bother reading it tbh! :rotfl:

Wow the last 24 hours have been a whirlwind! I never thought I'd get such an amazing response to the new challenge. I cannot wait until I can start updating people's totals with what they've reduced (oh and mine too of course!).

I've sold another item on Amazon tonight so will pack that up for posting on Friday.

Sorry it's such a small update tonight but I'm off to bed. Good night all and keep debt busting! xxx

    Thursday 17th November

I really feel like I need a holiday from work at the moment, just feeling like I need a break. I'm off tomorrow but that's for a funeral so it's going to be emotionally draining. I'm so proud of how strong my best friend has been throughout her dads short illness. I'm so proud of her.

I'm going to see a craft fair on saturday for the first time to see what they are like, what they sell and for how much. I'm quite excited about going but will need to leave my purse at home and just need to remember that I'm doing surveillance on whether I want to try to sell my homemade cards too.

It took me fffooorrrrreeeevvvveeeerrrr (forever) to get home tonight from work as I go over "the tops" on a country lane, pitch black and there are roadwork traffic lights. Waited 30mins in the queue inching further bit by bit and finally got 4 cars from the front before realising that all the inching was done by cars turning round cos the traffic lights were stuck on red and we were on a blind bend with no idea how long the roadworks went on for. The police then came past and let us all through whilst trying to fix the lights. Obviously not a happy bunny and made worse by the eejit at the front who wouldn't do more than 30mpg on a 50mpg road and 20mpg on the bends!!! *snarl*

I've been updating the challenge tonight (and during today actually but kept an eye out for my boss who thinks it's strange that I've not been nagging him for the past couple of days and is probably worried I'm applying for new jobs). I'm really enjoying running the challenge and am amazed at how many people have joined in such a small space of time! The people on there are just so inspiring and I know that I can do this now with their help. I've sold some more items on Amazon and my Ebay listings finish on Sunday and I've had 2 bids already so I know they've sold. Every penny is going to wipe this dept and I hope I can keep updating my dwindling total frequently with all the challenges/selling that I'm doing.

    xxx

    Congratulations on the sales.
I look forward to hearing what the craft fair is like, I would like to join some myself when I've built up enough stock. Have you considered selling your crafty items on folksy/etsy/WOW/ etc? Cards are quite common, but I buy all of mine from there now and definitely worth a shot. I'd recommend selling on one of those by listing one item a day and logging it on any local forum threads to the sites, then get yourself on twitter for promotion. It's hard work selling your own craft, due to promotion, but when you get a little following the sales start to increase.... or so I've been told =)

I only started crafting a few weeks ago so am very new to it. I'll definitely take a look at the websites you've mentioned above as I've no idea of price! I'm going to give handcrafted cards to my work colleagues this year as even though they will be a lot more expensive than buying a pack of 20 for 99p, it might just get me a sale or two in the future and start the ball rolling.

I'll definitely let you know how it goes on Saturday! xxx

Oooh exciting, don't forget to write a little name or logo or something on the back so they know it's you. I look forward to seeing your things.
