The rate at which banks and the Post Office buy foreign currency is lower than the rate at which it sells foreign currency.
No! Why aren't we told these things?

Yes it seems they do occasionally have good deals...

I reckon Po is crap. Just this Po has a big managers special poster at the bureau counter.

Will keep an eye on it and will report back later if it's consistently good.

Can anybody explain to me why the Pound to Euro exchange rate is still so bad (for us) in spite of all the bad news related to the Eurozone (Greece, Italy, etc.)?

I would have expected to buy Euros supercheap for my next holiday, but still today it's as bad as 1.14 Euros to the Pound.

The pound isn't doing that bad at the moment. It's almost at a 6 month high against the Euro

I can see the pound getting to about €1.20 it just that there is no real possibility of the pound going back to 1.5-1.6 as it was in the early days of the Euro

1.20 will seem pretty decent. last year in Puerto Banus I was offered 98 cents for my £. Told them to ram it.

Do I detect a faint trace of irony there?;)
