Which phone? 8800 scirocco or N73?

By the way, I currently have a Nokia 8800 and although you will need to charge it everyday it is in my opinon one of the few phones to have if you plan only making calls and texting.
It portrays style, class and the extra weight and smoothness of the casing gives it a quality feel when in your hands unlike the plastic rubbish on all other phones.
My handsets before the 8800 was the Moto V3i (before it became common), the Nokia 8890, Nokia 8850 and the Nokia 8810.
Looking at what is currently available and what is expected on the horizon there is nothing that interests me apart from the Apple iphone. Mobile phones over the last 5 yrs have not really improved that much especially in the styling department which is such a disapointment. If the 10 yr old Nokia 8810 was still available, I would probably still buy this phone over anything the current market has to offer.
Even the highly anticipated Nokia N95 looks cheap and plasticky just like the N91 when it eventually came out.
In short get the Scirocco as it is a improved version of the 88000 -
3 have released a new firmware, which sorts the probs out]
go for N73!, 8800 is for looks, K800i great camera but N73 good camera great applications ( I own both ) & x-series make it a bomb, get the slingbox deal for 99quid with it order through quidco.com from 3 direct via thier website ( threestore.three.co.uk )and get 100quid back in cashback

I'm only quoting on what I have read on the Web. The Nokia Moderators on the Nokia forum say you are not allowed to do this as it is deemed as hacking the software. They remove any posts on the forum which tell people how to go about it.
One of my posts got edited on the Nokia Forum and I got a telling off for putting a link to another forum which states the changelogs for the firmware updates. Moderator said that only Nokia Engineers are supposed to know these.
It is stupid how long it takes to get approved firmware updates and that the Bluetooth does not function properly to start with in hte case of the N730 -

Is the firmware update available via a Nokia Service Centre? I have read a couple of posts elsewhere of people getting the V3 firmware for their 3 N73.
3UK Exec Office told me during hte week that they were not releasing firmware until the end of May 2007 at the earliest for the N73.
The situation seems a complete shambles.
I'm going to try a Nokia Service Centre to see what they say.0 -
so fox2319, what did you decide to get in the end?I moved here from Zimbabwe (Rhodesia) in 1980. I went to Borrowdale Primary School.0
