I am not debt free as yet and will not be so for another 3/4 years however I came on here to give myself some encouragement and hope.

It has certainly worked and I cannot wait to be in the same positio of all of you. You are an inspriration to everyone who is struggling with debt.

I have not calculated my total debt wlthough I have a good idea of how much it is, I will post it when I finalise the figures.

I have started my spreadsheets and am involved in lots if the challenges to keep a check on my spending.

Hi New Leaf .... well done for getting on top of your budgeting / spreadsheets now - I wish I'd done it years ago! Best of luck with your debt busting :D

I too am very glad BiB started the thread, I'm not confident enough to leave the DFW boards - and tbh, I don't really want to as I do like to offer a little advice / encouragement where I can if it helps others a) on their journey and b) get there with a little less pain than I did! - but I must admit I was missing the support of being able to say "I've been struggling with ....." etc so this thread is brilliant for that.:T
the Hotel had messed up the booking and put us in a double bed! Yikes! Anyway, they obviously sorted it out and I ended up with a £135 per night suite to myself instead - result!

 Oh my! Glad you were able to get something sorted!

It reminds me of when I joined a company (many years ago when expenses were still around;) and in some cases, pretty extragavant) just before Christmas and was an "extra" on the party night.

We had a lovely night away at Peebles Hydro (everything paid for:)) and I ended up with a family suite all to myself!:D (although I did have company in the end ;);)).

Geezzzzz, getting a bit loose with my words tonight, I better head off before I say something I really shouldn't:rotfl:

Li you must be near me.....Well done on the e*bay sales ..... we were going to see the Pandas just after Christmas but decided to put it off until after Easter in case they weren't outside in the cold! Enjoy!!

I'm in my own Bonny part of Scotland! We were going to go to the zoo last weekend but the pandas were all booked out, so decided to go during the week when its hopefully quiter!

Been staring at my spreadsheets and trying to get sorted for mat leave! from next month, hoping to save around £500 per month, that should mean that we wont have to worry, well not too much, whilst I am off on half pay and no pay - eek!

was maybe going to begin buying nappies, milk and wipes along with my monthly shop so I dont notice it as much. Will probably wait until my 20 week scan to do this though!

hope monday wasn't too "monday-ish" for everyone!
