Why should I have to risk my laptop not booting up ?
I have a legal copy of Windows - that refuses to install properly and since it is HP - ie OEM - There is no support offered by MS ....

Just do as you are told. :)

In order to activate the installation with your existing licence, you have to install the disc without entering the Product Code.
So get on with it and let me know when you are done. :)

Do what 'Takethis' says and if that doesn't work the phone support will sort it.

You really are making it harder than it needs to be.

Have you managed to activate it by yourself or do you need my assistance?

I have still been unable to activate it myself - I have 30 days left before I am back at square 1 again - unless it IS a simple job of NOT installing update KB971033 - if this is the case, I don't believe that MS would make things so simple ?
I heard back from HP who deny responsibility (it IS an OEM installation/ with me trying to install a RETAIL setup) - they tell me to contact MS - Who want to charge me for new software !!

So, are you ready to get it sorted? I really don't know why you put yourself through all that drama.
You jumped to a lot of conclusions before we could finish the job.

Should just take a few minutes. We will not be installing any cracks nor will we attempt to bypass any Microsoft checks. We will activate Windows in exactly the way that Microsoft intended.

    Created some inbox space.
