hopefully someone will have the foresight to do this in future, but surely they aren't thinking of MSE when running into this stuff.

We can live in hope that they will do just this!icon7.gif

I am glad you acknowledge that the 30% more you could earn in the private sector comes at quite a heavy price in terms of job security, sick pay, pension!!! etc. But in acknowledging that you also defeat your argument where you state that you could earn more in the private sector.
    .

A fair point but a balanced argument would note that the reason that the private sector can pay more for nurses is because they have the flexibility to employ nurses for short periods without providing any job security, sick pay or pensions) and can do so because they have a willing source of available NHS nurses that they did not pay to train in the first place and can be confident that regular post qualification and update skill training is all funded by the taxpayer. And the same argument applies to other health professionals.

. Surely I have that wrong or are the govt playing divide and conquer? I haven't read through the whole document but I think I will at some point.

What does it matter that they pay less?

And what is this "very reliable" source?

Silly question! Would you like to pay more for the same???
  • It matters to me thank very much! .

Why? It's not like you're been forced to pay for it.

We are all paying more and getting less already, for everything. It's just that some of us are being forced to pay much more so others don't have to.
