Urgent help required Unfair Dismissal

They said this was grounds for dismissal under a breakdown in trust and confidence and sacked me a few days later.
My main concern is what to do at the ET tomorrow;
Lodge a complait aginst the judge?
Ask for a ruling on the point from a legal expert?
LOL there would be a break down in trust and confidence if you had in fact given out the log on detail. That really makes no sense at all to me and if true they are idiots.
You still haven't told me what they said when you put it to them fraud could take place? I guess they are happy with that?
I think they sacked you as you stood up to them and kept to the company rules.
I think some employers put rules in place and when say the directors have to stick to them they question them and say they do not apply to them.0 -
Oh yes and what do the bank say about this? Did someone from the bank attend the ET and show the form you filled in?0
-
the bank won't do anything, the T&C just mean that if a fraud happened and users shared passwords, the bank has no liability.
No bank has ever gone after a company for employees sharing log ons. It must happen in most companies, when people go on holiday etc and as it usually takes a few weeks to get new log ons, generally new people take old people's log ons.
So if you refused to let someone else use your log on, and that was the only way an important payment could be made (say you were away), then you did disobey a direct order by the company. The bank were never going to do anything to an employee in another company.0 -
I never said the bank will do anything its as you say 'the bank won't do anything, the T&C just mean that if a fraud happened and users shared passwords, the bank has no liability.'burnoutbabe wrote: »the bank won't do anything, the T&C just mean that if a fraud happened and users shared passwords, the bank has no liability.

So like I have been asking and the OP hasn't replied 'what did the company say would happen if fraud had taken place'?
If they seriously think it's ok to share passwords and it's not then they are asking for trouble.0 -
'what did the company say would happen if fraud had taken place'
This question was never put directly to the company.
This is an extract from the bank's T&C's

Why did YOU not ask them or anyone at the ET? That would have been my first question.'what did the company say would happen if fraud had taken place'

The employer could argue that the above refers to a legal person i.e. the company as a whole.
It appears that you are completely out of your depth. You really need to seek legal advice before proceeding further.0 -
I seem to remember an earlier posting on this, and thought it was an odd stance to take.
$I now have the password for every user for every system in my IT systems as the IT super-u$er in my business. Regardless of the fact that users should not share their log ons with each other. THis is not of my doing, but from our IT support provider, who of course are paid to keep us legal but more importantly so we can operate.
To have gone this far for a reasonable request for banking information for a bank account which you do not require access to seems folly.0 -
I can't help thinking we are only getting half the story here. Especially as OP has been very selective in replies on other threads.
OP, what was the specific wording as to why you were dismissed, on the letter you got dismissing you?Debt free 4th April 2007.
New house. Bigger mortgage. MFWB after I have my buffer cash in place.0 -
