Hexes, poxes and bunions on that Goblin. And some only slightly less unpleasant things on your spineless so-called managers.:mad:
I suggest you try another great networking opportunity to allegedly raise their profile and actually find somewhere that deserves you.

            How annoying Lula
I would be tempted to smile sweetly at Grumpy and say how pleased you are that they are taking up your idea of going to the exhibition and how you knew as soon as you heard about it that it would be a good networking opportunity.
Then I would be very tempted to look for another job. :cool:0

            Morning all,
thanks for the vibes, hexes & advice, I was mightily furious at the time but have calmed down a bit now. I had a long private chat with Cockney Rebel yesterday about stuff & he assured me that Gropey (previous to going off sick) was singing my praises & heaping credit on me for being so proactive.
CR also reminded me that in fact Grumpy never gets involved in the 'running of the business' whether that be personnel issues, wages, money, health & safety, legal stuff etc. He is purely about clients & production, sooooo ... in Gropey's absence it would make sense that he was left to deal with getting the exhibition organised & passed it straight on to the Goblin to deal with.
I have also realised that it doesn't really matter who inititated this opportunity; it's the doing it that counts & more business & contacts means a more secure job for me.
I am looking for other opportunities & just this morning toyed with the idea of becoming barbecue chef :rotfl:
I think a step in a whole new direction might be a good thing, but for now I have home & family stuff to concentrate on so I'll let the work thing tick over & just try harder not to get emotionally involved. Goblin herself is behaving very well, no doubt she feels her place is more secure.
I do appreciate all your valuable support though :A0

I have swollen glands & a sore throat but have a busy couple of days ahead. Today is all about chores, laudnry & getting all the stuff for DD1 organised - taking furniture apart etc
Moneywise, things are ok. Due to the change in hours & salary I've had an extra TC payment so headed off to Sainsbugs after work where I replenished our dwindling stocks of fresh food. I've gone over budget as the total grocery spends are now at £221.92 & I've spent another £28.13 on household & toiletries which brings my total spends to £250.05 . .
That's over my budget, but if I'd stuck to my original £50 a week plan then that would be about the same amount & I'd rather allow for £250 spends & save the remainder ( if any :rotfl:) than keep going over a tighter budget & feeling bad about it
I'm going back to that as from the first week in April, I've re-jigged income & outgoings so that I now pay rent, DDs lunches & buy groceries etc on a weekly basis, and then pay council tax, all other utilities & savings monthly.
The cash funds have been topped up as follows :
 - christmas : £120
 - gifts : £100
 - childcare : £170
 - fun : £50
Another CB payment has gone in to the Holiday Fund account, so that has been boosted back up to £466.36
I've also been very lucky to receive a legacy from my dear Grandmother's :A will, so the repayment fund now has a healthy £1,100 balance.
 Life is short.
 Life is also for living.
So, rather than stress about paying back what I owed myself re ISA money etc, I've decided that my main objective of paying off the debts has been achieved :j & that is good enough
I'm going to move straight on to saving towards the E.R.F fund so what was for repayments is now the firm foundations of my boat, camper or world wide wanderings
I will still be putting some money aside for emergencies / future but I need something fun & positive to counter all the boring & sensibilityness too.
Off to update sig then out to hang washing on the line,
 bye for now

            Yes, life is for living.
As I decide it is, now must stay out of M+S sale online and in store. Collected a sale order today - not too bad priced at all £18.75 for a bright blue skirt and some other stuff. Life is for living and for wearing what we own - free it out of the wardrobe and wear it. Who cares how well dressed your wardrobe is inside?

Another one who agrees with the 'life is for living' philosophy! *fights through the brambles to get back in*
 Hello all,
this weekly posting is becoming a bit of a habit. I'm not sure why, but there seems to have been so much stuff that needs to be dealt recently, but it all seems to be calming down again now.
DD1 & her BF are now fully ensconced in their new home. It was a very long & tiring day last saturday, but also very rewarding. There was a team of 7 of us & between us we managed to collect donated furniture, applicances & items from 3 separated locations & install & rebuild them in the right rooms on one day. I also felt compelled to clean the ( already clean) kitchen & bathroom & organise the cupboards.
We got home about 11 that night & fell into bed. DD spent Sunday "relaxing" while I whizzed about getting my home back in order. The living room is back to being spacious & airy again, which is perfect for the new season & time change . .
I confess that yet again, the dining table has turned into a desk, but it's only temporary while I sort accounts & paperwork.
I've done some very naughty spending recently; mainly on a new chunky foot stool that matches the new sofa. I couldn't resist as it was in the sale & whilst I love the idea of another armchair, it will make the place look cluttered again & the stool is big & has secret storage inside so that will be very useful
I have also spent rather a lot of money in Sainsbugs in the last week, there were some rather fab coloured towels in there, at a reduced price ... they are now in my airing cupboard waiting for the bathroom to be cleaned, before being used.
There was also a slightly alarming amount of money spent on booze; Gordon was on offer & so was the light & tasty British sparkling rose wine I love & can drink without any after effect whatsoever; so I stocked up. I also bought some of the tasty cider so think I'm well stocked for booze for a while . .
I am not going to declare the exact amount spent as it is rather shameful, suffice to say that my nectar points account is flourishing. Even more shamefully, all this spending was on the CCCCC, but I have another 2 weeks rent free & it's payday today :j ish - not exactly untold riches :rotfl:- so that will be cleared before interest occurs.
Being as it is payday, all sorts of payments & transfers to funds have been done & it's all looking quite healthy :
 Car Tax fund = £110
 Car Insurance fund = £150
 Car Maintenance fund = £210
 Gas & Electricity fund = £470
 Xmas fund = £130
 Gifts fund = £110
 Childcare fund = £180
 Holiday fund = £466
 DDs clothes fund = £76
My Clothes fund = £21.82 :rotfl:
Yeh, I've struggled to keep the magic bidding finger under control - ( clearly it beat me into submission) but I do have 4 new tops, a new frock & new pair of 3/4 jeans ( most expensive item, but just £26 for brand new RI so pretty bargainous really ...)
For some reason, I seemed to only have 1 short sleeved summer top, although when I open up the clothes trunk I may well find more.
The weight loss is slow but stable. I've kept off the 6lbs I originally & to be honest haven't done a single walk or yoga session for a week & have no idea how I'll do over the next 10 days ... there are some very cheap bikes in argoose at the moment so I might well invest in one of those ... Frankly, there's no point buying anything more flashy as my cycling is sporadic at best.
No gig or festival tickets bought yet either, Reading was sold out on sunday & not too sure about saturday at the moment ... Killers are at 'V' but it's a mission from here, although Laidback Dude lives not too far away so could stay at his, but travel costs would be rather more than I like to spend.
Fortunately, my car was already running on fumes after all the moving at the weekend so I fuelled up on Monday morning before all the petrol panic started. To be honest though, when at Sainsbugs yesterday, there were only the usual amount of cars there.
Can't help but feel a bit cynical that the government have actually planned this 'crisis' in order to get us used to / gloss over the recent extortionate price increase. £1.40 a litre is what I had to pay  a total of £49.03.
I reckon the thinking is that we'll all panic & then just be grateful we have fuel, rather than concentrate on the cost.
Right, I really must get myself together now & clean the bathroom; we're planning a brief shopping trip later on, followed by postpond cinema trip.
I might go buy a bike instead though :rotfl:
 Bye for now

I have a yen to buy a bike. DD is out on hers so much and I have to trot along behind her - great exercise but I would prefer the carefree feeling of riding a bike.
Enjoy your day off :beer:It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey 0 0
