*Thanks Karmacat nicely for the waitr:)se tip .... then elbows past her to get to the front of the 'spare men queue' *
The toothless one has woken up feeling fine & £1 richer too - I did suggest that a chunky molar was not exactly what the tooth fairy was looking for, but she insisted that the injection alone must have been worth some recompense, so the tooth fairy did indeed do her thing
.
Tis a gloomy murky sort of day here today, but that's fine as I'm just doing a few tasks like dropping off stuff to charity shop, picking up a few grocery pieces & then some form of housecleaning will be done.
The home-job earnings were minimal this week so I've just topped up the xmas & gift funds which now have £140 & £120 respectively.
I did have a quick count up of the £2 coins fund as I felt I'd missed some coins & was very pleased to discover that I have now got £64 in there. Only another £330 to go until I get the fabby bag I'd like :rotfl:Gotta be honest though, I'm not sure I'll ever part with that much money for one bag ... although at my age it would last me a lifetime
.
Currently debating taking out breakdown cover for the cooker I bought last year. the first letter warning me that the warranty was about to expire offered me a years cover for just £52 ( or £42 if I signed up to a direct debit ). The next letter which warned me - in red - of impending warranty expiry is offering me 4 years cover for £82.
Now I wonder which is the better deal . I'd rather the product was just of a sufficient quality to not need any from of cover for the first 5 years, but have another week or so to decide
.
Off to get myself organised now so have a very :easter_os weekend to all & may it be full of :easter_ba:icotbaske:EasterBun

Just popping in for a very quick spending update ( if I confess here then I just have to accept it as truth)
Trip to Waitrose this morning( did contemplate the online thing, but I can get the car out, go to the store, do my shop, come home, put car back in garage & unpack all within an hour & I actually enjoy my waitrose shopping trips
) having stopped at the cashpoint on the way in order to remove my £50 weekly allowance. This has to last for the week & I did have a bit left over from last week.
Admittedly if I didn't go to the store then I might not have bought the pretty spotty & stripey mugs that flung themselves into the trolley. On the other hand though, shopping online means using the CC & I may well have ended up with a matching teapot too . I used my pocket money for the mugs so not included in the weekly budget.
Total grocery spend was £43.44, another £6.88 on household items & then had to pop in to the co op n the way home as I'd forgotten something so another £3.35.
Amount left in purse is £23 + change.
Home all clean & sparkly and we have a few visitors coming over Easter Weekend so good to get that all done & as we've been on hol from work & school there's not much laundry to do either :j.
Off for a soak in the bath now & then off to bed.
Bye for now

Funnily enough I'm off bike shopping this weekend hoping to get one tomorrow.
Also I work with 2 people who live in Heb - not that far away from me but far enough. It's a lovely looking place, I once went through on the train but I know they are very happy and settled there on the moors

Rosa ... if you find any single men you're not lusting after, chuck them this way, would you?
:rotfl: afraid I'm not coming across a vast number of single men in my exciting travels between work and allotment... but if it happens will let you know!

Just can't keep me away at the moment - I keep spending & having to declare

Ebay temptations of £17.25 bringing my available budget down to a very sobering £4.57 _pale_
Trip to the co op to buy some nuts to make a banana cake & then realised that we have people coming over tomorrow & there's not a single hot cross bun in the house. Sadly, there wasn't a single one in the co op either ... so we made up for it with other stuff & ended up spending £8 leaving me with £15 & some change for the rest of the week - e a s y
DD bought herself an ice cream & got 2 x £2 coins so I had to buy them off her & pop them in the pot, total balance now £68 :cool:0 -

Have you been out on your bike yet?
I'm still looking but have been recommended a shop a couple of towns away by a friend who races bikes. It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey

:hello: Banana cake! Now thats a good idea. I have a *lot* of 'nanas at the moment due to a slight over-ordering problem

Rosa, I don't come across a glut of single men either - even fewer than you probably, since I don't have an allotment to travel to, just the back garden :rotfl:but since I've now found a contact for my local transition town network, I'm hopeful. Ever hopeful
