Cheesy potato corn bake recipe please!
Bad Weather (DFW er - not climatic condition :rotfl:) posted on previous diary so I was trying to entice her over here
Recipe will follow soon - the best comfort food going - but I do need to get dressed & hang final laundry load out in windswept garden.
More magic toadstools were discovered yesterday :j

A small task list is also required :
- [STRIKE]ironing[/STRIKE] DONE
- paperwork
- [STRIKE]hair colouring [/STRIKE] DONE
- [STRIKE]making soup[/STRIKE] DONE
- [STRIKE]making cheesy potato corn bake[/STRIKE] DONE
- raking up leaves
- compile christmas card list :rotfl:
- compile christmas gifts list - IN PROGRESS
- [STRIKE]resolve to rejoin sealed pot challenge with vigour as from January [/STRIKE]DONE
Ah well, not too bad considering.
The cards were never going to get done & it was far too cold & windy to do the leaves, but I did sweep all the ones from the steps so some effort was made.
I've had a word with myself & am releasing another pay of ebay shoes into the wild. Brand new & unworn but too small for me & in reality, not my style. I've only kept them for so long because they coodinated with my living room colour scheme & looked fab on my windowsill .
Today DD1 visited & asked what on earth they were doing up there & the thins is that when you ive with something you forget how it may appear to others & I remembered that LaidbackDude was here last week, & probably thinks I'm bonkers :rotfl:
The shoes are now in the charitizing bag. Oh dear, the money I've wasted on shoes that never get worn must be hundreds of berries
. That doesn't matter now though, because I wont be buying any next year. I may however, need to buy some work suitable sandals ...
.
Making the meals in one go worked brilliantly, although I did seem to spend a long time chopping & peeling onions & potatoes & I filled a composting bag. We had a yummy roast today, there's some chicken left so I'll probably have that in a sandwich for work next week - I'm due to give blood so need to make sure I eat well.
- We have a jug of soup in the fridge, & we can have a baguette or chunky bread with that.
- We have the cheesy potoato corn bake which goes well with beans.
- I'll probably do a chicken & rice thing one night.
- Ham & cheese toasties will be a tasty supper.
- Quorn spag bol - easy if working late
- Veggie stir fry - always yummy
- Cauliflower cheese with roasted peppers & fries - mmmmm
- Jacket or sweet potatoes with beans/cheese/ham/sweetcorn
- Yummy veg crapserole (DDs term for it) to use up all stuff going a bit bendy :rotfl:.
- Pasta & tomato sauce
We have plenty, the only thing we'll need to stock up on is bread ...although, we still have bread flour in the cupboard, so I might have another go at that
I've cleaned the kitchen & the sink is shining, I got halfway down the garden to take the compost, then got scared ( soooooo dark ) & left it on the table
. Must remember to do that tomorrow.
It's been another NSD & with all that meal planning & making, I think I can safely say I've been frugal today.
I am bathed, scrubbed & lotioned, I coloured & blow dried my hair, my nails have been polished ( foxglove on the toes & french rose ( on my fingers ) & I've chosed what I'm wearing tomorrow. Frankly, I feel rather fabulous
Flippin eck, that's scarily organised though :rotfl:
I'm off for wander now,
G'night

sounds like you did good standing up for yourself! Well done on freeing yourself of another pair of shoes - they weren't worth ebaying then?
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

You sound fabulous, oh fabulous one! Laughing at the shoes on the windowsill tho - thats an unusual decoration, I thought to myself

I was wondering about *selling* on ebay too - but also admiring *two* colours of nail varnish - tres chic!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Lula you are putting me to shame. I have been busy with a course for the last 2 weeks and am starting another 2 week one this afternoon. I am taking advantage of opportunities presented to me whilst I am claiming dole money.
My flat is being tidied - the bathroom has been cleaned from top to bottom, several bags of rubbish have gone in the bin (several more to follow as I am having a major spring clean) and some bags have gone to the charity shop. Anything else that I have will be sold on CashCowUK instead of ebay as listing is free nor is there any commission to pay:cool:
I must try not to spend though - treated myself to lunch out on Saturday (partly to give someone some moral support on their first day in a local caff) but I did not have dinner at night as well. Whilst in charity shop I looked on the 50p bookshelf and came out with an Ed McBain book and a teach yourself colloquial Finnish book (what was I thinking?)0 -
you were very organised there and you are fabulous0
