Oooh Lula you bad, but I want to hear about the hot gossip ;-)Diary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

*re emerges to rectify any assumptions*
3 cups of coffee, 1 glass of vitamin c megadose, 1 cup of tea & 2 slices of toast later, I'm almost human.
Earlier post was from iphone while still prostrate & whimpering, it took me a long time to post that :rotfl:
I had a brilliant night, although I now realise that the thigh boots are not made for walking, especially a mile to the station, it felt like lots of miles.
Not all the work peeps came along, Gropey is on holiday (:j), Goblin didn't show up (:j)& nor did Cockney Rebel or Design Diva so it was a select gathering. Grumpy was there for a short while but then headed off - probably best not to see your staff on the lash.
There was a fair bit of Gin drinking through a straw - always a precursor to eventfulness :rotfl:- much beer for the boys & trays of shots kept appearing too. It was great.
Old Timer got a bit morose which is pretty much usual according to the others & I did get a fair bit of warning that Highly Annoying was going to make a declaration at some point, was ready for it & batted it away deftly.
Old Timer was shepherded onto the last train by Laidback Dude who then returned to the party, had another drink & then remembered that he should have been on the same train :rotfl:
He lives 80 miles away & rather than spend the night at the station or pay silly money for a cab I offered him the sofa at mine. He accepted graciously, we had some more drinks & then Old Timer reappeared but the bouncer wouldn't let him in so we let them chat together while we finished our drinks by which time we were wasted & ready to leave, whic was lucky as they were closing.
We managed to negotiate a cab for Old Timer & both Laidback Dude & I thought we'd put Highly Annoying in it too, but somehow he ended up in ours so when we got to mine I jumped out, stuffed some cash for the fare in his hand & we legged it up the stairs.
*incidentally, cab driver's cousin works at the garage where I have my MOT done & will be happy to fit my headlamp if I go in & mention that cabby said he would.*
Don't ask how we got on to that conversations but it is testament to my ingrained moneysavingness that I remember that in the cold light of day
So, Laidback Dude & I liberated the amaretto from the bottle & we both developed phenomenal cosmic conversational powers. No idea what we talked about, but it must have been riveting because we kept at it until about half five this morning :rotfl:
I do remember that we are going to go travelling together & he's going to rent DDs room & be my monday to friday lodger - again the moneysaving- but I'm not sure DD will accept that so won't mention it to her.
Got woken up with a sit rep on DD from friends mother at 8.30. Quite tempted to reply 'do what you like with her, just keep her until I'm fit to parent again ... and that may be some time tomorrow" but resisted & came out with some suitable reply.
Well, I think it was but as she's still there now, I may have transferred fumes down the phone.
I dropped Laidback Dude to the station earlier & got a big hug & thank you for the overnighter so that was nice. Feel a bit sorry for him though, as he was due a big night out tonight _pale_.
I'm going to lie down again for a while, so will look in my purse later & do a stock take, all I know is I left home with £75 & the train was £3.10.
Bye for now

Cheery -we have absolutely no idea how he managed that, debated it long into the night & eventually concluded that he must have got off the other side of the train; sort of walked straight through it :rotfl:
Kerri- Laidback Dude is cute in a non conventional way; I love his personality & try hard to emulate his general attitude to life's stresses & irksome hassles at work. However, he is about 12 years younger than me & a colleague so actually even starting to think about him in any kind of 'interested' way would be very wrong
As we only have 2 bedrooms & DD has just turned 12, it's unlikely that he'll be moving in any time soon, and by the time she does leave home I expect he'll be married with kids & his own home :rotfl:. He did seem to be quite well house trained though so I'll bear him in mind for the B plan.
I followed Souk's suggestion & after a plate of egg & chips I feel much better, although still all trembly from lack of sleep.
I did manage to load the washing machine even in my incapacitated state & also tackled the washing up which included four times more glasses & cups than there were people !
Still can't cope with counting pennies yet, might get DD to do it for me0 -
Sounds like excellent fun Lula, "walked through the train", that made me laugh out loud!
xxxNevertheless she persisted.0 -
Hiya Buffy,
poor chap is a bit of a liability & may not be invited to next event, it seems that I noted everyone's birthdays & declared we had to go out boozing for each one ... *grimaces*0 -
I cannot wait for your Christmas party!
Pfft to 12 years, I'm 10yrs younger than my OH
Oooh and OH's mum is married to someone only a few years older than my OH....and my OH is 35! heheheheDiary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

And I'm 18 years younger than Mr Daffs
who is only 3 years younger than my mother :rotfl:
But having him as a lodger while DD is at school could cause rather a lot of too-ing and fro-ing :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Glad you're feeling a little better!0
