Its tragic init
35 - 45 squid a month and the battery is crackers.
Apparently some bug with the phone checking wildly for time zones or something - they might fix it before the overheating kills the phone !
Happy iphoning ya all!0 -

A couple of guys at work who have them say that the battery is running down quickly (take it off charge in the morning and have to recharge when they get home and hardly using the handset) .
Seems strange asthey must have beta tested these before release?0 -

Probably too busy trying to rush something out after delaying the iphone5. How many iphones can they keep making I wonder - at some point people must get bored with the thing.
Battery life is carp on most smartphones - I am hopping that a recent announcement by ARM about a new chip design that reduces battery consumption by a fifth or something would change things but its a bit in the future.
Then we might be able to finally get a device that you can use as a mobile, internet browser, gameplay and music storage/play. Wishful thinking on my part.....0 -

I was considering a duel core handset as my next one (before I got this handset) and so much so was considering the LG Optimus 2x. But suppose it was prudent to wait until they get their act together on latest technology. Dell replaced my PC from a dual core 1.5ghz to a 2.4ghz dual core and the fans are always whirring away nowSo I could not imagine a handset lasting long with use if the cores are both at work

Don't hear much noise on my Dell 2.8 Ghz P4 dual core - 4 years old . Shame the OS is s**** - windows wasta. Hibernation can cause the fan to whir a lot - you can turn that off. Or replace the fans if they are old.
I go for cheap phones myself - the smartphone market must be reaching some sort of saturation point - you seem to be able to do the same things on almost all of them now - its just the hardware/design which is not keeping up with the software now IMHO.0 -

I'd suggest that most people won't get bored with a phone because most people are using them as tools to get something done, not as a hobby in and of itself. Modern smartphones are more interesting and exciting than ever before due to the huge breadth of additional games and applications that you can add to them. If you're bored with modern smartphones, you probably need to find a new hobby.0 -

I got bored of the iPhone after three months and sold it for Desire HD.Have I helped? Feel free to click the 'Thanks' button. I like to feel useful (and smug).0 -

I have plenty thanks, one of them being tinkering with smart phones and iOS is sadly lacking in tinkering abilities.Have I helped? Feel free to click the 'Thanks' button. I like to feel useful (and smug).0 -

Yeah that's why I said for the vast majority of people there's unlikely to be any element of boredom as they use their phones as tools to get a job done rather than messing around with them. You obviously fall into the latter category with the phone itself being a hobby in its own right.0
