What ever disability you have you are entitled to claim regardless how much you earn.
No you cant
but you hear of people who are on amazing amount of money still claim tax credit
No you dont
The whole thing is a shambles
It very well might be but certainly not for the reasons you state

Families with children can claim Child Tax Credit if their income is no more than £58,175 a year
I think that is good money in my opinion
The award is minimal and supposed to be a reflection of the old system where upon your tax code was higher ~ in effect this is NO different to what it has been for many years.:heartpuls baby no3 due 16th November :heartpulsTEAM YELLOWDFD 16/6/10"Shut your gob! Sounds like your mate is taking the micky claiming £33 a week when he is on £150,000 a year. He cant be that disabled if he can earn that wage . As someone suggested perhaps he could donate that £33 to a good charity though knowing how people in this country think nowadays he will just laugh at that proposal. In my opinion he is the lowest of the low and you are with him asteroid.0

I think you are a little confused, either that or you believe all disabled people are idiots? Or do you not count deafness as a disability?Sounds like your mate is taking the micky claiming £33 a week when he is on £150,000 a year. He cant be that disabled if he can earn that wage
Since when have disabled people had to be low earners?
I bet Stephen Hawking earns more than £150,000 a year. What makes you think that someone disabled can't do a well paid job? Disabled could be epileptic, diabetic, arthritis, Bi-polar, deaf, blind, born without legs.
None of which means you don't have a brain.
You can earn £1,000,000 a week and still legally be entitled to DLA. It is based on how your illness/disability affects you nothing else. The "Bloodlust" Clique - Morally equal to all. Member 10

DLA should be assessed on percentage disability - like Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit. With only 2 Mobilility rates and 3 Care rates it encourages fraudulent or exagerated statements and claims as there is such a large gap in the amount paid between lower / middle and higher rate. Band in 10% groups and pay accordingly. Give automatic assessment to Incapacity Benefit receipients based on their IB medical assessment.
The benefit will never be completely abolished, it may be rebanded like most other things Labour have tried in the past 10 years, as the Motability contract, which the benefit is linked to, is worth too much to UK economy. I believe it is one of the largest contracts in the UK and one of the reasons there are so many Vauxhall Zafira's on the road......0 -
