BT Wireless router problems

The BT Wifi router is driving me mad, The wireless element of it stops working nearly everyday and it needs to be restarted, which is a pain because it's a shared connection and my other flatmates cannot access the internet if I am not at home.
The funny thing is that it keeps working if you plug the cable into the laptop, it's just the wireless thing.
Has anyone encountered such a problem?

Have you tried changing the wireless channel? There are 13 to choose from and you are probably getting interference from another device nearby. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

I have had exactly the same problem with both laptops since before christmas except I have to reload the BT software each time the computers are switched off.
Spent a small fortune on the calling so called help system who are no help whatsoever even if I manage to speak to somone I can actually understand.
I have found that I only need to go as far as the sign on screen (during software installation from disc) before exiting the set up process then using as normal. Don't go through the whole process as you'll be there for ages while it downloads the updated version. I found that it downloaded the updates then the security software, rebooted and lost the connection meaning I had to start all over again.
Changing the wireless channel doesn't work as I had to change that anyway due to the house security system, also BT which works perfectly.
I have been told by the IT guys at work that is a common problem and there should be a work around somewhere on the net although I haven't found one as yet.0 -
go into your admin panel for the router
http://bthomehub.home/
then click on Advanced on the left of the screen
then click on continue to advanced
that will bring up a log on box enter admin for both the user id and the password
click on configuration
in the screen that comes up switch to manual wher it says Channel Selection:
choose a channel, mine is fixed to 10
click on Apply
I also uninstalled ALL the HUB software from my PC as it is ONLY required if you are connecting via a USB port to it directly...it is not required to use the HUBEx forum ambassador
