Embarrassing trick or treat experience.

Your trick or treat parcels sound really cool, I wish I was that organised, I just had to hastily grab a couple of packs of mini oreos when some trick or treaters came
As for your visitor you really shouldn't let it get to you, frankly I would pity her, she sounds like one sad individual to me. Her behaviour was incredibly juvenile, if the only way a grown woman can get her kicks is to try and humiliate someone else it's a pretty sorry state of affairs.0 -
Sounds like she hasn't changed a bit. What a cow! Don't let her make you feel like she did when you were younger, pathetic woman!0

Thanks all, I know that in actual fact it IS quite funny but it was also quite embarrassing for me. She just seemed really gormless, like she didn't get that I wasn't wearing a costume, she also didn't understand that it was one parcel per child and her kids tried to take the whole tray lol and then she said, "did you actually MAKE these? Really?". I'm not being funny but it was blinking obvious I had made them, they had a little handwritten poem on them!
Thanks for the positive feedback about the parcels! I used to work with kids and also remember getting all dressed up with my friends when I was really small and going trick or treating and not one person answering the door, so I try to make it special for the kids in my neighbourhood. I spent time in the US as a kid and the halloweens there are amazing so I try to recreate a little piece of that here. It was worth a little effort to see the faces of the really little ones. It's amazing what some sweets, fake eyeballs and old gift wrap can do!0 -
Oh miss independant,I'd feel smug if I were you knowing this b1tch had never moved on and was still as bad as always.
She knew full well you were'nt wearing a costume but obviously could'nt help herself.
I went to school with a girl like that and she was exactly the same as your so called friend, she could'nt be nice if she tried.
I seen her a few years ago after 35 years by then she was 51 and she was still as b1tchy as ever.
Some people can't help themselves.
Feel good about yourself knowing you're not like that.0 -
Don't worry about how you look. It sounds to me like she knew fine well you weren't wearing a costume and was just being a massive moo for the sake of being nasty. It says a lot more about her than it does about you and I think she's showed herself up good and proper in front of her friends to boot. Put it out of your mind, she isn't worth it!0

Just wanted to send you a hug (()) and to say please do not give this nasty woman another thought.
She sounds so shallow and clearly she is a very self centered person. as others have said she has just shown all of the other Mums her true colours.
You have spent time and effort on the trick or treat gifts so well done you :T
I bet as all of the children have gone home with their Mums and are tucking into your lovely treats, I bet they are saying "But Mummy why was that lady so nasty to the lovely lady who did these lovely treats for us"
Don't give her another thought, she is clearly an unhappy individual, look at it another way, perhaps she feels inadequate in your company.
Take Care

Next year though, I might wear a costume to avoid this in future!0

Hun, she *is* really gormless. You don't need to be embarrassed on her behalf.Come on... you look good, your candies are the talk of the town and you've realised you're significantly smarter, prettier and more talented than the mean girl who haunted your childhood. You were right when you said it was karma.
Hope you enjoy the rest of your night.

I think karma did pay you back - you'd made some wonderful treat or treat parcels, all the other mums really appreciated them, I guarantee the kids will be talking about them tomorrow and she showed herself up big style. The fact her companions were tugging on her arm shows they felt shown up too.
