what a horrible cow!
Don't do halloween, can't stand it! I have kids but wouldn't dream of knocking on people's doors. Our doorbell went about 3 times, but we ignored it.
I saw a couple of houses near me with one of these signs in the window and it just about sums it up for me!Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £24,616.090 -
Your outfit sounds gorgeous, please don't stop wearing the top because of that silly cow
It sounds like all the other mums were equally mortified by how rude she was, so here's hoping they realise what a b!tch she is and drop her as a friend. I'm not surprised her kids tried to grab the whole tray either, they'd hardly going to learn any manners with a mother like her.
Remember that you were the better person, and you took time out to give the kids some lovely sweets and a great Halloween. She on the other hand has embarrassed herself, and for what? Because she feels so bad the only way she can make herself feel better is by trying to bring down other people. If she ever does it again I wouldn't even bother wasting breath on her- give her a little smile that shows how pathetic you find her and close the door.
This has reminded me of an experience I had at school when a kid asked me if I was a witch. I thought she was having a stupid joke, but no, she was actually that stupid. I asked her why did she think I was a witch, and she pointed out I had long black hair and witchy shoes  My hair was naturally dark brown, and I was wearing shiny, pointed lace up shoes. My jaw was hanging down for a good couple of minutes before I told her if I was a witch, I'd have turned a good half of the school into frogs.0 -

I suspect she only had a dig, BECAUSE the OP looked fab!
That's usually the way it works with bullies like these. She was completely threatened by the OP because she looked good, AND she had made these fab sweet parcels that everyone loved. So, she tried to put her down and make her feel bad.
It's backfired....BIG TIME! She's made a right t!t of herself, and as others have said, will be the talk of the playground today!February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
Nothing's changed then she's still a b*tch! Don't waste your valuable time on thoughts of the likes of her, you're bigger & better than that.0

What a b!tch! Take pleasure in the fact that she is still a d!ck, and hasn't grown up.0

I don't think you should feel embarrased about this. The caller is the one who made a grave error in showing herself in her true colours, in front of people she was probably trying to impress. I'd revel in it if I were you, as she's the one who made herself look ridiculous.0

Will you see her today?
If so then remark on how her Hallowee'en make up has lasted 24 hoursIt's taken me years of experience to get this cynical0 -
Rise above it. She sounds awful. Good on you making those lovely halloween treats.0

I commented earlier, but have just reread your post, and I think she was jealous of you as a kid. You say she was clever and pretty but you obviously had something she didn't, and that was why she was so foul to you as a child. It must have been something important for her to have remembered it all these years.0
