Now I would normally agree with you there. I don't find the Napolina ones any better, they are still bitter to me, so value ones are just as good by the time I've finished messing about with them. However, when the Cirio ones were on offer a while ago (B12F) I stocked up a little and they're the best I've tried yet. I'm converted so hoping they will eventually come around again.

Only one pack of beans, and one of the Mr Kipling mince and custard pies.
Think I have a lot of MSE friends at my local Mr T.
Hope glitch is still working tomorrow - IF they re-stock the shelves of course!0 -

Crazy, I will decide if these are worth it once we make our next batches of sauce up but I suspect there will be no difference once you've added your herbs etc to them0

Totally ignore me!!! Lol- I'm on nightshift mode and just realised the offer isn't on Napolina! I'm sure someone mentioned Napolina at some point and I assumed that's what we were on about! I have no idea about the B1G2F offer at the min! Lol
I have to be honest and say I personally notice a difference. I've used every brand of chopped tomato and my homemade lasagne and spaghetti never tastes quite as good as when I use Napolina- I've been used to them all my life as Mams recipe always used them so that probably has a lot to do with it.Please remember to thank fellow MSE'rs :beer:0 -
LOL, it would be interesting to do a double blind test to see if you could identify the Napolina ones hehehehe0

Lol! Bet I couldWhen I first got married we couldn't afford Napolina and used to buy alternatives and I noticed a huge difference- even with the addition of all the other ingredients. My parents have moved abroad and my poor mother is missing her Napolina tomatoes! Lol

There is a huge difference in the sauce of the more expensive ones. They are much thicker and stronger tasting. The cheaper ones are more watery. I am so used to eating cheap ones that I can't eat the expensive ones in a Big Boy's Breakfast because they taste too rich!0

I saw a similar test done on beans, people were told one was branded and the other supermarket when in fact, both tubs were the same branded beans. You'd be amazed at the number of people who said A and B tasted different etc, I think only one person out of about 50 said they tasted the same. Just shows the power of suggestion.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16
