    OK, yesterday I applied to Santander, Barclays, Lloyds, COOP

    Santander were quick to reply with a rejection:
    After careful consideration, we were unable to offer you a Santander Business account, and your application has unfortunately been declined.

    Our decision was made using a system called Credit Scoring, which takes into account all of the information you gave us in your application, as well as information from your credit reference check.

    Most online applications WILL fail when trying to open account....ideally you should try in branch take copies of discharge and any other paperwork they request and tell them they need to process the application by hand rather than computer..
