Hi, I'm posting late tonight as i've been out most of the day. I went to work and then onto my mum's with my 2 DDs for our tea (lovely when someone else cooks for me).
I've made the packed lunches and sorted out uniforms and that will do as I'm too tired to do anything else! Sorry I've not had time to read all of the threads today, but I hope everyone is healthy and happy.0 -
Re £1 coins for trolleys. Before Christmas one of our local kids' nurseries were selling £1 substitutes for charity for a £1. I bought 10 and gave them as stocking fillers. We have all put on car key rings for the supermarkets who want an £1 coin for trolley. I know we get £1 back if you put in trolley but feel I have contributed to charity and I don't have to worry about having a £1 coin!

My kids are off for 2 extra days (training days) tomorrow and Friday, I'm actually quite pleased, no dashing about tonight sorting uniforms, no manic rush in morning with lunches, getting them dressed, fed etc.
Good night to those off to bed, I think I might be doing the same soon. One day I might be more organised...........

I get so frustrated watching these progs - watch dietdoctors and feel bad and want to lose weight & get fit - then watch relocation and want to move house all the time!!:rotfl:0 -

Good evening all
Rather a late one for me today. But its the first time I've been out of bed today as had rather a rough night & was in a lot of pain (so only place I could get comfortable & warm was i n bed). OH is on nights at the mo so won't be back till 8.30am & instead of him going straight to be d he is taking for my doctor's appt, then home to bed.
We have had a veg box delivered now for the last 2 weeks & OH is coming up with some great recipes to use them  I don't think we have eaten so much veg for a long time but its really great & we are getting to try things we haven't had before (kohl rabi, kale & aubergine).
OT lady came to see me again last week & she is still saying that a lift would be better as they don't think stair lifts are safe. But the problem is our house is only small & it means we would lose th euse of the spare bedroom as a bedroom & the loungewould have to lose most of the furniture (which are all inherited family pieces) coz the lift is 400mm x 1000mm plus you need a clearance of approx 400mm. I think at this rate we will have to finance the stairlift ourselves with the help of the bank manager. She was also talking of a frame that helps you get out of bed that might help stop me falling out of bed, which is getting to be a nightly occurrence ( I only wakeup when I hit the floor:eek: ) Walking is getting to be an even bigger problem as I cannot stand now without help (& look rather like a chimp when I do have help & support from OH).
Have sent of forms for reassessment of DLA as I only recieve low rate care at the mo & when the social worker from the hosp found out he was astounded ( he put in a covering letter & welfar e rights helped with the fiiling in). We sent forms of about the 15th December to get there for 21st, did not hear from them so phoned only to be told that they did not get until 3rd Jan, then had a letter to say thanks for forms recieved 19th Dec & basically don't call for 11 weeks. So here goes:eek:
Anyway I will go now as I am feeling rather cold & sorry bout the long epistle
:grouphug: to all who need or want one
Bye for now ScruffyLove to save & love a bargain0 -

Night night all, now too knackered to stay updating!
