  • Hi Cheryl :) Wow, you have been busy and had lots of decisions to make! No wonder you haven't been on here :) Glad everything seems to be going well for you now x

Today looks like it may be an NSD - took the children and DH to our local beauty spot with a flask of hot chocolate and had a lovely walk round stopping at all the parks :D Twas really beautiful, misty when we set off and then graduating into a lovely sunny day.

Back later to confirm NSD x

Hey Cheryl, lovely to hear from you, sounds like you have and are having a busy (and not always easy) time. Sorry to hear that your chap turned out to be a bit of an **** but better to find out sooner rather than later. It's a shame about your job too, but at least you have pennies behind you to give you time to decide what you want to do, and sounds like as one door closes lots more possibilites are opening up to you. :) Good news overall about rehoming dog, I know it was a tough decision and some of your family were against it but it really did sound best for doglet. Take care and don't be a stranger to us, don't want you missing the Xmas Tardis shin-dig :D (Igor is doing Reindeer punch again so I hear )

Well, no NSD for me - had my hair done earlier so I now look gorgeous (well my hair does :p) was also told NOT to use the shampoo I've just bought and been told it really is worth buying the more expensive salon ones .... and no there was no comission involved, so looks like that's going back and my little cash card might get bashed tonight too :o I will give one of the better salon brands a go (scalp really dry atm) and see if it makes a diff.

Sorry for the waffle, off to stir my pasta xx

    Good to see you Cheryl.
It has all been happenning for you.
Think you made the right decision about the job but you will miss all the whoopsies
    Take care.

    Good evening all!

Cheryl - changes indeed for you. Luckily your frugal ways mean you don't have to panic about finding another job just yet, who knows, maybe the ideal job is on its way to you? Or a business opportunity perhaps? Pants situation with the blokes, but you have survived before and will do again. Onwards and upwards!

Kerri reminded me about the dreaded reindeer punch - and I had hoped it was just a distant nightmare......however, I think we all definitely need a night out or two, so here are my suggestions: November 30th being St Andrews Day, we should have a Scottish themed bash that night. So, how about it Beanie? All round to your place for a bit of whisky tasting?

(Don't tell Jinty, she always brings loads of hairy-arrised blokes in skirts with her. Minus their undermentionables. Although, on second thoughts...oh go on, Jinty, you're invited! Just keep the numbers of blokes down, we don't want everlasting queues for Beanie's loo, particularly when Igor serves up his herring-flavoured shortbread with the pilchard margheritas.)

And I am sure we can think of something good for the Christmas do, tinsel, reindeer antlers (No not real ones, Igor! Put them back where you found them!) and dancing snowmen strippagrams a-plenty!

(The Nargle is back and raring to go....at least for a short while...)

I think so too - I've been feeling a lot brighter this past week since I knew my end date was coming up and I wouldn't be spending the winter in pain again :)
but you will miss all the whoopsies
The only thing I'll miss is the staff discount on them - but I should be able to find out when the butchers do their reductions and pick up better reduced bits from there now. They always did their final rounds while I was clocked in, which meant I couldn't get much.

Just need to try and work my way through stuff in the freezers in preparation for the Christmas Eve Whoopsies now - all of which I'd have missed had I still beeen staff ;)

Good to see you back Cheryl, and what a lot of major things have been happening with you...sounds like you are more at peace with yourself though. Good luck with the next stage of your life, sounds you have a few plans there too.

Managed to nab an NSD today. DH returned a couple of things, and only bought a tv guide, so came home in profit! :T

That makes 11 NSDs now, "only" 7 more to go...hope I'll get there. I still won't be driving for the next week, so any spending I do will be online, I'll try to be good. Have DH under strict instructions only to buy any extras on days when we are already spending...so we'll see how it goes.
    :D

DH is bringing DS1 and his GF down from uni tomorrow so we can go out for a family meal locally. I am not up to travelling to see them, which was the original plan. It'll be good to see them, and have a nice meal out too!!

Right, need to find a more comfy chair...still chopping and changing every hour or so. Feeling a bit better, but looks like I'm going to take longer to recover than I had thought I would.

Have a great Sunday everyone xx
