If you've nothing decent to say, perhaps you shouldn't say anything.

    £2 savings jar £300:D
Total credit card debts £1250:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: - Will I ever learn!!
  • Im up to 14 NSD'S!!!
    2 left to get!
Weren't sure if I could count today or not. Ive pre-ordered tickets for Twilight at the Cinema tomorrow as I know its really busy and popular, however I'm being given the money back for it tomorrow. I didn't count it because my card has been used!
I figured if got plenty of time to complete the other 2 days, and considering I'm back to work next week and i hardly spend at work anymore I think il blast past my target before the end of the month.
I have a quick question for you guys....... I have a credit card which has £1300 on it, which i need to clear before my flat completes and is ready to move it to. I will be throwing £450 at it both in Dec and Jan, however there will be £400+ towards the end of Jan, when the flat should be read to move it to. I have £500 in savings.... Would people either use the savings to finish the CC and move in to a flat with no savings but no debts or would you move in, keep the savings and pay the £400+ in monthly instalments until the interest free period runs out (next november)??

Just trying to decide my best option.......

Rising - just wanted to send you some more hugs. I can appreciate how you feel and thinking about those 'special times' can be really painful. I still miss our moggie Big G (swear he thought he was a dog too :)) When we used to come in from a night out, OH would often go to bed and I'd have a cuppa with Big G tucked under my arm for a cuddle. It still feels odd when he's not here on nights like that. It will get easier though and you gave him the best care you possibly could xx

BDINI - dear me, glad you are ok but I'd suggest reading while walking down the stairs is a £250 moment waiting to happen :rotfl:

Keiss - take it easy, those ops can take longer than you'd think to recover from xx

Oh no Nargle - sounds like Igor might be called into action next week  (and when he's finished at yours send him round to mine, I have moths until the end of next week too )

Yesterday wasn't a NSD, took advantage of another pack of 24 x cushelle from Lidl for £6.99 (will need them if Igor's coming round to cook!) and also popped into Mr T - had some coupons to use, plus had to get cat food (apparently you have to feed them EVERY day!) also 3 x packs of the Plenty 4+2 free for 92p each.

Oh, I also finally booked my mum's B'day present (which was actually yesterday) Taking her to london to see The Snowman (was thinking about it last year but it didn't happen) Was umming and ahhing about it then in true MSE styleee I found tickets at 50% off :j Means I'll be able to pay for the train tickets and treat us when we're up there which will be nice.

Seeing her at the weekend to spend the day together so made a little note for her card as the tickets aren't here yet.

Today however WAS NSD # 8 - I did get my eyebrows done but I sort-of earmarked that money yesterday so don't feel bad counting today as a NSD.

Barnet being done tomorrow and day out with mum on Sun so not expecting any more NSD this weekend.

Personally, if you can afford monthly repayments and trust yourself that you will pay off the cc before the interest free period ends, i would keep the savings and pay monthly. There could be things you need for the flat and despite advise to pay off as much as you can as quickly as you can, I think it's good to have a small amount behind you as 'just in case' money as well - that way, if something unexpected does occur, you're not forced into more (potentially expensive) debt.

    Me too.

Cheryl was going through a bit of a patch when we last heard from her, I assumed she was just taking a break to sort her life out, hoping that's all it is.

BMF was having poota problems again I'm hoping that's the reason she's not around.

    Hope they're both OK.

    Hi myteeduck

I agree with kerri. As long as you can clear it before the 0% interest runs out I'd leave it in place and keep the £500 for anything you need for the new flat.

    Hope that helps
