I just want to say a big "thank you" to you all for your lovely words - I have read them all with tears building as I went through each page.... (((hugs))) to everyone who's lost a dear wee one, it's the sad inevitability of letting them fill our lives with joy.

I'm a bit lost at the minute - I'm an early riser (usually by 5am) so am stuck with what to do to fill in the time before work. I think I may still have to go out for a walk as find it really loosens my back off (arthritis) but it feels odd walking without him there - lots of other "firsts" yesterday and today :(.

I did however go down to one of our favourite places yesterday afternoon down by the beach where there's a pond he loved to play in .... it was a beautiful cold crisp sunny day that Ben would've loved - and I did find a little peace for a little bit.

It's horrible being in the house without him - I live by myself and he was always in the room where I was - don't get me wrong, I love my cats to pieces but they come for a 10 min cuddle & then booger off & do what cats do ....;) so it's not quite the same.

Sorry, didn't mean that to be quite as long.

Anyway, No 9 and 10 to report.

Dont apologise, Rising, we all understand and if it helps to get out on here, thats what were here for!

Like you I'm an early riser - I take our dog out every morning at silly o'clock. People think Im daft, but it's my special time with him.
I can just imagine how you feel, when you've had the same routine for years and it suddenly stops, it leaves a huge void.
    Be gentle with yourself
    Sending you ((((hugs))))

you will always be rich enough to be generous.

    Good morning folks,

Just popping in to say "hi"!

Today wont be a NSD as I am off later to buy a bit of bling to wear with my outfit tomorrow night. It's my niece's 21st tomorrow, and we are all off out for a family dinner. I have new trousers and a chiffon type blouse to wear, but it needs a nice necklace and earrings.

I have zumba this morning - I am being ultra-focussed this week after zero weight loss yesterday. Still a bit  about that!

    Have a lovely day everyone:)

    Laters....

    Morning all :D

I was thinking that today wouldn't be a NSD as it's payday. I might go to the supermarket after work, in which case it won't be a NSD, but if I don't I might just be able to snag #8. I'll keep you updated ;)
  • I got my results for my first assignment on my new course today and I did really well so very chuffed with myself! Think I'm coming down with a cold though so I'm going to dose myself up with medicine and head to bed x

Woo hoo well done LittleMissHappy!!! :j:j

Hope the medicine has worked & your cold doesn't come to anything x

  • blindtoast - well done for NSD 7 :j:j:j - I love xmas shows :D I hardly ever go to them though as I would spend wayyyyyy too much!!! :o:p:D

I've never been to one but am quite excited about it - think I'm fully prepared for the idea of spending too much money!!

Had another night in with a dvd last night so can declare NSD #8 :j

Today should be a NSD unless I have to go food shopping tonight - as I won't get chance to go over the weekend - will all depend on whether I have enough food for lunch and dinner next week! Resisted chinese again yesterday and made a risotto from what we have in the house (which was delicious!) - doing well at not eating take away this week! :A

  • Oh, bless you rising more (((((hugs))))) coming your way.

BDINI, I did think ouch, then had a bit of a giggle at how you managed to fall down the stairs, I could see myself doing something like that:D

LMH good news on your first assignment, hope the cold doesn't come to much :)

It won't be an nsd today for me as it's take away day. Very naughty I know, but it's the only way we can get through the Friday night that the boys go, so needs must and all that. Tomorrow we're heading over the M@kro and even if we buy nothing else I doubt very much if I'll be able to walk past the chocolate aisle without something forcing it's way into the trolley :D Plus the chocolate chip shortbread is just the best thing ever!

I've just been totting up our money so far this month and we seem to have actually done ok. It looks like we're going to come in round about on budget. I think we've just gone so far over the last couple of months that we're really paying for it now.

  • Number 8 trundled its way in yesterday! Was again a bit of a surprise as it was a planned spendy day, due to the car needing some sustenance BUT I had to get it on Wednesday when I went to a club meeting, which left yesterday clear! Only drawback is the petrol was a shade more expensive in the Wednesday direction than it would have been at the place I was passing on Thursday, If you see what I mean.

Yesterday was lovely though, had supper and a movie at a friend's house - we're all jobhunting so squeaking by money-wise. NSD and socialising, who says you can't have it all?! :rotfl:

  • No NSD for me today - got my gorgeous niece a bit of cake (which pipersky managed to eat most of! Naughty!) and a drink :D I'm also paying for my 3 to go to the cinema this afternoon with their grandparents. I have made up sweetie bags for them so they don't need to get anything there so they should have a nice time and I get the afternoon myself ;) Hope you enjoy the rest of your day folks, I will be mostly catching up with my cleaning!

I'm going to put aside money for DS2 to do his ice hockey tomorrow and if I don't spend anything other than that it should be an NSD :D
