Wedding Insurance?

We used Ecclesiastical. The company we ordered chair covers from went into voluntary liquidation, had payout minus excess within a week, they also paid the extra we had to pay to get a new company to do it.
Tailor made aspect was great too!
Thumbs up from us.:kisses2: Got married September 2011:smileyhea

Another vote for Ecclesiastical here. We're doing a winter wedding, so thought it was pretty essential! £60 for a tailor made policy covering everything to max price not minimum...
Another Winter bride so we've taken out insurance with Ecclesiastical. Package was tailor made around our needs.
Just hope we don't need it but should anything go wrong will be nice to know we can recoup our costs:)Turning our clutter to top up our house deposit: £3000/£303.05 we're on our way!0 -

It's enough for me - important not to over insure, and spend more than you need to, but for the peace of mind, it's worth every single penny....

As has been said - it's worth taking out the insurance as you never know what could happen and the premium is a small percentage of the overall cost of the wedding.
We went with Debenhams, partly because there was some cashback through Quidco.
This actually got declined for some reason and I can't dispute it as I wasn't informed about the decline until after the 45 day day period.0 -
definitely going to look into this then!
fingers crossed none of us have to do this 0 -

I need to look into it too
We have booked church, reception and chair cover company so far. Will be booking photographer and dj soon so once I've done that I'll get insurance.
Hope it's not too difficult working out what level of cover you need etc cause I'm easily confused :rotfl:Saving my pennies for my wedding on 10th August 2013!

I've looked into the company E and L and for band 1 is £18.20 and band 2 is £26, will probably go with band 2 as it covers more money for suppliers and other possible problems with companies

I hope I'm wrong Jewelleryfan, but I think you are only covered for stuff that's booked AFTER you take out the insurance policy! Can anyone confirm whether this is the case?7 Feb 2012: 10st7lbs
