    Personal Challenges:starmod:

Tuesday Do it different Day DONE
Most of us are creatures of habit, do things in the same way all of the time. All this autopilot is not good for the grey matter or the soul. So today’s challenge is simple, try to do things a bit differently. If you always clean a room clockwise, then do it anti clockwise, always use the same mug get a different one out. Always hoover the hard floor, try sweeping it. I don’t mind what you do just shake it up a bit.

    Preparing for Winter Challenges:snow_grin DONE
    Tuesday see the light
In case of power cuts make sure you have candles and matches, torches and batteries stored in an easy to get to place – no good rummaging in the back of a cupboard in the dark! Light a candle and hold it around the doors and windows to see where your insulation is lacking (ie where the flame gets blown) – please take care! If you have lots of candles then why not light one tonight in memory of all those no longer with us for All Souls Day.

    Wednesday Potions and Pills DONE
Collect together all the suncream, aftersun, insect repellent from bags, window ledges, cars and either store good ones or bin dregs (or check you have enough and pack them for those going on holiday). Check your supplies of medicines, pain relief, decongestants, tissues etc. Check dates on items not used for a while like inhalers. Request repeat prescriptions now if necessary.

Been shopping with DD and managed to get DGGD xmas present as it was reduced in Mr As.

Stocked up on more batteries to put in my Power Cut box.

    Mumto5 Big Hugs.

    Hugs and spoons where needed.

Great idea to get all this sorted now, as we usually get America's weather when they've finished with it, and they've had some atrocious weather of late!

Don't worry :) Apparently this wind & rain we are having at the moment IS the weather system from USA - only warmed up a bit. I think we will be ok for a bit yet :D (well, in the south, anyway - can't say about the frozen north :o)

Ok. i cleaned the bathroom, brought the washing down from upstairs (still waiting for DD to bring hers down) & polished the dining table, all before the school run.
After work, i went to Matalan to get DS a coat. Couldn't find one he liked that fitted :( Unfortunately, there wasn't much choice as the boys ones go up to 12-13 and only just fitted, and the men's ones were too big (and mega expensive!) DD managed to get a new coat though!
Had Maccy D's for dins, and got drenched running from the car (which was parked right outside!) More rain in that hour than we have seen for the last month or 2, I think!
Ok - I think I need to do a bit more studying now :o

Gaaahhhhh, day going blahhhhh, managed to somehow delete my whole ipod library, will have to reconnected the stoopid chuffin desktop at some point to get it all back. I've wiped it all because I stopped manually managing it and its took everything off and there's nowt in my itunes file on the computer.:(

Also managed to lose a purchased app which consists now of three sentences...I haven't paid £2.99 for three blinking sentences.

I have batch cooking to sort, stuff for hubsters birthday pressie to finalise, ebay, forms to fill in and other stuff to sort.

Off for a coffee and then a list writing exercise.

Hi to all the returners, good to see you guys posting again.:T:D

Don't panic - if you upgrade iTunes to the latest version, you can redownload stuff you got from them previously. Minion is very pleased about this, as she spent a lot before she murdered the iPod.

AF has necessitated a large shot of JD on ice.

Minion is fashion designing, so there are bits of fabric scattered over the newly cleaned kitchen table and she is casting covetous eyes towards the sewing machine.

She's either designing applique work or tattoos that can be sewn.

Either way, she has all my sewing gear down here.

  • About an hours studying done :A so i have played a couple of FB games as a reward :p

I think i am going over to my friend's tomorrow, as she is having fireworks for her son. It would have been his 26th birthday, but he was killed in a friendly fire incident in Afghanistan 4 years ago :( i can't believe how quickly time flies. i can remember fireworks at his 1st birthday party! Doesn't seem that long ago.

Ok. i am off to bed now, before i get to melancholy (sp?) Hugs & spoons to those that need them. Night night all :)

did I tell you I'd done the kitchen?
    Probably not, anyway I have.
I have been to work (parents evening) been to co-op and FORCED to buy whoopsies - tiger loaf 14p donuts 8p and muffins (pennies I can't remember) they will fill DS up anyway and pepper which is what I went ofr

I'm doing pork with paprika and peppers (another off piste recipe) in the SC as I'm busy tomorrow so ahve prepped the meat, pepper, onions and put a lot of paprika in the SC (huge bag of paprika from Budapest when mum and dad went this summer) so fingers crossed because it's a total guessed recipe!
Have wrapped e bay sales - 4 'biggish' items going inc 1 collect as I will pass a PO sometime tomorrow ;) just need to do labels
