(((HUGS))) i have a friend who was killed in iraq almost 6 years ago (was killed on my 21st birthday while my then hubby was deployed there too. they were in the same reg) and i can relate.
its strange isnt it? i still expect to see him walking around or pics on FB of him dancing in nightclubs. coming up to remembrance day is hard enough but having his birthday around the same time must make it so much harder.0 -
DS1's difficult behaviour has gone to far. He is disruptive, bullying and violent when he is in the house. I am scared of him and spent the last day and a half in tears. DH has realised that it is more than just AF causing my distress, he is away now until Friday and DS1 has been sent to the in-laws until DH returns. DS1 has a job interview this morning and I really hope he gets it as it will keep him out the house for 40 hours a week. He also has college tonight and PIL is going to collect him afterwards (bus doesn't run after 7pm).
I'm feeling really low and am trying to pull myself together. I feel really pathetic, I just can't stop crying.
Hey Mto5. Just echoing the posts of others here - though you may feel it, you don't come across as pathetic to us at all. Seems to me that you've been really brave - and feeling low, and crying are really reasonable responses to an awful, awful situation so please don't judge yourself for it. It's ok to be sad.
Just remember that you and the rest of your family have every right to expect your home to be a place of safety, sanctuary and support.
No-one can be expected to live in fear of someone else in their home, and I'm sorry, but it really doesn't matter who that person is. You've taken a huge step to taking control back, and it's just brilliant that your DH is beginning to understand the seriousness of what's been going on. Hugs to you all.

This waking up at this time is getting a bit too regular for my liking, AF over due but things have been a bit stressy this past week and I'm all to potSo I'm just having a cuppa and flicking through the online shops, why do I get so het up about xmas every year? I'm already stressing needlessly, even if I don't buy anything else everyone's got something even if it's only a stocking filler, it aint that important in the scheme of things is it, I need a slap and a good talking to.
Work 5 hrs today, will see what I can fit in either before or after it, anyway listy:-

[STRIKE]Most of us are creatures of habit, do things in the same way all of the time. All this autopilot is not good for the grey matter or the soul. So today’s challenge is simple, try to do things a bit differently. If you always clean a room clockwise, then do it anti clockwise, always use the same mug get a different one out. Always hoover the hard floor, try sweeping it. I don’t mind what you do just shake it up a bit.[/STRIKE] I did my run yetserday back to frontMight try that again!

[STRIKE]I know it is sad that summer is gone but we don’t want to keep tripping over flip flops on the kitchen floor to remind us of that. Today gather up all summer footwear, hats and lightweight jackets. Get rid of any that won’t be needed next year. Put the rest away checking that they are clean and shoes are washed, polished and reheeled if necessary – you will thank me for this when we get our first warm day next spring. Replace with gloves, scarves, woolly hats, boots and winter coasts. Check they fit and everybody is kitted out for the cold days which will be here soon.[/STRIKE] I packed away my summer wardrobe and amat how many t-shirts I have

i only have 1 duvet due to lack of space and my elecrtic blanket is in regular use already as it is FREEEEEEEEEZING up here and the coast of the north sea!
this is the first week i have actually done a full weeks flying. :T:T:T:T:T im feeling really chuffed with myself so i think i may treat the kids (and me) to a maccy d's tea since DS1 has been asking and i want to try DS2 on something with a bit more gluten and a couple chicken nuggest wont have that much gluten in them.0
